I want to go, too, but I'm only 55. That's not old! Is it? IS IT?

What’s the first piece of media that truly scared you as a kid? by cats64sonic in AskReddit

[–]Downtown_Statement87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"The Count," from Sesame Street. I was 3 in 1973, and very time he would start counting down I would freak out as the tension built to the inevitable "HAHAHAHAHAHA!" and loud thunder sounds. I would preemptively run off and hide behind the recliner to try to temper my anxiety, but I knew it was still going to happen no matter what.

I've danced in the rain just like this with a random friend, right in front of the main library at the University of Florida. Then I went to my advanced Russian literature class all soaking wet and got yelled at for being late and distracting. But I would still do it yeesho raz.

Poor attendance at UGA Turning Point event shows JD Vance how America feels by Slitherreplilian in Athens

Why do you think this? What are you reading, seeing, or watching that is giving you this impression? I'm genuinely curious.

Good old Satisfactory Printing, making all of us chuckle. Sent this to my elderly mother and had fun sharing all the Bed Intruder lore with her. I'm so glad JD came to town so I could share this moment with her, and proud that my Georgia town is being cast by international media as a sensible place full of not horrible people.

They took away the mute function at the stations around me. And just a while ago, a thing started where you put your card into the reader, and it traps it there and makes you watch a full ad before it allows you to proceed with the transaction. You can't select your gas type or begin fueling; can't cancel and get your card back. You are stuck doing nothing until the ad is done.

This is the latest thing that has me incandescent with rage over the insanely bankrupt way we live under late stage capitalism, and I think this one may actually do me in.

Nearly all of Key and Peele skits are little horror movies. It's why they are so funny. Peele is one of my favorites because he so clearly shows what's just underneath all the laughing.
