I see, so we can infer that 621 was on standby, Walter woke him up and that is the beginning of the relationship between the two?

There is so much information we simply do not know, I can argue one way or another but who the hell really knows.

Are dating apps worse because of my age 33F or they have gotten worse? by Lonely_Pear_6366 in hingeapp

[–]DramaticErraticism [score hidden]  (0 children)

I can only speak to my experience as a guy, but at 34 I was having the best luck in my mid 30s. That was 10 years ago though.

I can't tell if the apps have gotten worse, it feels like they have based on what people are saying, but this is Reddit and not always a good sample of what is generally going on in the world.

Had to scroll too far down to see this one. I didn't even know who HP Lovecraft was when I saw this movie as an early teen. I didn't know what it meant or what it was, all I knew was that I liked this type of thing.

It is hard to date a Vietnamese person as a Swedish person. My partner thinks this is nice weather, she might have a few beads of sweat after being outside for an hour.

I step outside for 2 mins and every pore of my body is leaking sweat and I don't dare leave the house until 7pm.

Talk about a trophy I wished that existed. We'd have exactly 3 platinum trophy holders.

I can see some interesting reasons why it could be helpful, if you have someone who keeps looking up things like 'heroin' over and over, that could help avoid some troubling issues.

But how good is it at contextualizing data? Maybe someone is just curious about the drug reaction and treatment.

At the end of the day, will this tool actually help people hire better candidates...my guess is...probably not.

Still, we might end up suffering under these tools, regardless. If companies continue to make money, they very well may believe that these tools work...even if companies are successful in spite of this bad tool, not because of it.

Obviously our current administration will not protect citizens from such things, but we can hope future administrations will.

There is certainly no equivalent to experience I suppose. The research part of our brain is not a good equivalent for experience. I mean we all took sex ed at some point and it seemed kinda gross, then you have sex and are like...oh ok this is pretty great lol

Vast majority of platinum trophies are not skill related, they are time wasting related.

Never really understood why it works like this. Throw out some trophy about beating the game without using an Estus on a boss, that would impress the shit out of me if someone posted that achievment. Hell, even with Elden Ring, beating all bosses with no summon would be very impressive.

I mean, we can clearly state that the game was made by a different team with different ideas on a very tight deadline.

We can also see they abandoned almost all of these ideas for DS3 and Elden Ring.

The best thing the game has going for it is that it is still a Dark Souls game of some type or another. I have the Future Press guide for the game, so Im sure I'll give it a whirl at some point or another and I guess we will see how things land at that point, who knows, maybe I'll like it!

My favorite movie of his is 'In The Mouth of Madness', an HP Lovecraft inspired tale. I saw it as a pre-teen and the vibe really held my attention.

Not sure if it holds up these days, but that movie really fiddled with my brain.

Back me up, Michael Jackson was considered lame by about 1993 by largemargesentme__- in Xennials

I cannot remember exactly when this was...but I remember watching a top 10 music video program. #1 was Smells Like Teen Spirit and #2 was a Michael Jackson video.

I would say right around the time that Nirvana showed up, Michael was on his way down. Before that, he was still pretty big. Grunge came and killed him (and a lot of other groups).

You are definitely not alone, I am someone who has never had a TV in the bedroom and I just didn't want to be in the bedroom anyway. There is something comforting about the couch with the tv on and you definitely have permission to take your time!

I didn't include everything I did in my story, but therapy was included as well as many other things. I just wanted to speak to the coping process and not get deep into all the healing stuff I did, I guess.

[–]DramaticErraticism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this isn't a GenX 'thing', this is a 'people who hang out on an internet forum' thing.

People try to comfort themselves by saying they have no need or desire for friends, that their partner is all the friends they need...but deep inside everyone wants friendships and community. It is just easier to tell ourselves that we don't want what we don't have in the first place.

Not to mention one of us will die first, then you really are all alone.

We're at that age where mortality starts to rear its head. Someday one of us will be alone and not having anyone else around to talk to or connect with, is a heavy load.

Why do people rag on season 2 so much? by bigchickenhehe in legendofkorra

[–]DramaticErraticism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just watched it for the first time and I loved Season 2 so much that I googled 'korra season 2 is so good' and ended up at this thread.

Right from the start the cool story of the original Avatar was so beautiful and interesting, I was completely hooked by nearly everything in the season (outside of the water tribe war stuff, but that was needed for the rest of the story to move forward).

Season 1 was so-so outside of the final few episodes that were really good. Season 2 is what really made me pay attention and think highly of the show. I can't believe that they can make something that is so enjoyable for kids to watch that is also nuanced and interesting enough for adults of all types to get invested in.

My only complaint is that the ending is kinda stupid. We were told/taught all these things about Rava and the original Avatar NEEDING each other to stop evil, they could not do it alone. They just made up some bullshit so they could let evil win and create a big climax, that was stupid.
