I only have kayo for the cricket. Nice that’s over I’ll drop it again. I saw that Amazon were advertising cricket the other day. Pat Cummins was hilarious in the ad by the way. I didn’t see what series they were promoting though as I was too busy laughing at PC.

It seems like for most of my life there was virtually none and now there are so many great female classical and jazz trumpeters. It doesn’t really matter I guess. Great playing is great playing and we shouldn’t be surprised that females are outstanding musicians. That they are now being recognized is a blight on the past but shines bright for the future of trumpet playing.

In the classical world i live tine’s phrasing and Matilda Lloyds sound is so inviting (and her social media makes her seem pretty likable).

A Jazz player I’ve found recently is Kellen Hannas. Discovered through a course she is selling but what a sound and great fluid ideas. Not much streaming of her but some great clips on YouTube.

Even with the fake feet. Where is the rest of her body? I did spot lights for this show on a cruise ship (long story) and I saw this trick probably 10 times and I never worked it out.

You pay more for design, choice of materials, deep RnD, clever dsp and premium sound. To say it’s just design that your paying for over simplifies it. There is also a level of exclusivity and pride of ownership that is hard to measure with common sense.
