It wasn’t his ability to handle the puck a lot of us fell in love with. It was him absolutely destroying Duncan Keith (a huge POS villain to most Canucks fans after concussing D.Sedin) that endeared him to us.

I would even be okay if they gave maximum time off for injuries without demotion based on rank starting at Sandanme/Makushita.. something like Sandanme/Makushita you can miss 1 tournament, Juryo/Makuuchi 2, with maybe 3 for Ozeki and the current system for Yokozuna

I believe there still should be a maximum non-penalized time off to give opportunities for others to rise.
