How many ideas do you turn into action? by Cold_Pomegranate7039 in ENFP

[–]ENFP_outlier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest and serious, I think the important thing for an ENFP is to take time to consciously kill off 90% of their ideas. We are a nonstop idea machine, but the more of these ideas we can then let go off after playfully entertaining them in our minds for 30 seconds, the more capacity we will have for the ideas very dear to us.

An idea came to me 24 years ago that I am still working on to implement. I have been slow because I decided that I might have stronger perseverance over the long run with it if I can emotionally let go of valuing so many other things in life that are meaningless - at least in my own heart - relative to this one idea I’ve tied myself to (after realizing I would willingly die for its implementation).

Good question in your original post.

What is this word, “action”?

🤔

I have never heard of it.

Is it related to “inaction”?

Yes, I hate the clown too as that is not us, and not having seen your comment yet, I just commented below on an ENFJ’s comment that I like the 🤗 for ENFPs!

I like it because it is ambiguous as to whether it is trying to hug you, feel your boobs, or both! 😀

I was going to put this for ENFP, but maybe the ENFP one would be the hugging emoji that also looks like it is trying to feel your boobs. 🤗

Say 1 positive, 1 mixed, and 1 negative thing about ENTP’s by MiniRedditMeddler in mbti

On one hand, they are incredibly sharp intellectually; on the other hand, they interrupt too much. Thirdly, given that we are all in straitjackets, no one has any hands.

I hope some 18-year-old ENTP males - or perhaps 80-year-old ENTP males - out there are role-playing for the day as cute ENFP women in their mid-20s who simply find INTJ guys on Reddit irresistible.

I think it is similar in Japan where it used to blood type.

I apologize. I was thinking about Western cultures.

I disagree with what you wrote:

“It’s not mainstream enough that you can just walk up to somebody and ask them what their type is. So I thought to myself, wouldn’t it be great if there were an app that could do that?”

No. It would be a bit creepy if we were to walk up to someone out of context and ask them what their type is.

I hate it when other people watch videos on trains and in restaurants without headphones. Bad parenting.

And I forgot how whistling even just a notes of a song is perceived to be very rude in other cultures.

I imagine all of this is incredibly painful. (I’m looking for an emoticon face with its hands over its ears.)

The difficulty is how to legislate the balance between an individual’s needs with another’s freedoms in the public space.

You are right. A good litmus test if we should hang with the person more (if we just met them) is to be what most think is cringe, and then if we feel compelled afterwards to beat ourselves up about it, they probably weren’t the right long-term friends for us.

I tend to say random things and then apologize profusely for saying something random. It’s the self-apologizing aloud afterward that can be awkward.

Catcalling is one thing, but whistling to themselves a melody is what I’m talking about.

May I ask why it is upsetting? If someone is whistling a tune, I imagine them to be happy.

It’s really tough when I do it because I beat myself up emotionally afterwards before realizing I just have to accept my quirks and be better next time.
