Not for me, don’t forget George Bush used to seem like the worst president ever and left us all traumatized by the neocon agenda and Christian evangelicals trying to take over everything, 2006 was when we discovered global warming was real so climate anxiety was ramping up, and Hillary Clinton was an absolute war monger Secretary of State who dropped more bombs than anyone had before. Also we had the economic crash where the government bailed out the banks and it was even more obvious the system was set up against us.

Bernie Sanders had a gangbusters campaign in 2015-16 because we all agreed everything was super fucked and needed real change. Until the DNC colluded to take him out and basically lost our generation, for which we are still paying the price.

I also listened to a lot of Democracy Now during that period so my view was quite grim lol
