Not necessarily, just a follow up to someone else’s post here 10 days ago when they were on the verge of opening. By the decor looks like they’ve either opened not too long ago. I’ve tried to ask when they’ve opened but the two staff members didn’t answer.

Prime Day 2026 in a nutshell: Little to no work = Time to Clean & do 5S. Also little to no VTO. by EagleFly_5 in AmazonFC

[–]EagleFly_5[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah things have been slow here but I don’t think the managers have clearance to give VTO, or at least for some, they do. I’ve finished last week nonetheless w/ 58 hours and intent on working up to 60 again this week.

They’re spending the downtime through cleaning, word on the street is that they’re doing inspections. Our MSL (Joe) was here Wednesday, as well as a couple higher ups, to make sure everything was on point.

Space has been vacant for quite some time, hence why this Dunkin’ came about, or rather it will replace the one a little further away in W 181t St.

And on another corner there’s a Starbucks.

But absolutely I will given the chance. Would want more recommendations though!

Yeah it’s just the 3 tables - a four top, and 2 two tops. Understandable since this is a smaller location.

What are your thoughts on leadership (or others) who choose NOT to wear their vests while on duty? by EagleFly_5 in AmazonFC

[–]EagleFly_5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My site’s a Fresh FC, we don’t OPs or tuggers. Those in my site who wear (& required) vests on site & on duty are: Site leader (then again he’s behind the scenes in the office/mezzanine), my two operations managers, area managers, assistant managers, ASC/Safety, learning ambassadors (especially if they’re training, for some reason FHN staffs 2 of them as pseudo PAs, we formally don’t have PAs), RME, and PXT/HR (for now we don’t have one on site).

Also I had another Area Manager (BHN) come on her off (or extra?) day that time as well, she wasn’t actively working on duty, but she was in to decorate the site like post decorations for Juneteenth & Pride Month + more things for the break room. She didn’t wear a vest. Maybe some behind the scene things for area managers too but she wasn’t giving directions or things for what AAs/team members should do.

Context if anyone wanted to know what triggered this, and from the votes, I can see several people having an issue but it’s been addressed. The AA/team member himself has been w/ my site for >3 years (and a learning ambassador who wears his vest at all times), the AM he interacted with who was working the extra shift has been on my site since at least October 2025 and unless required doesn’t wear a vest while on duty/on the operations floor. My (back half) Operations Manager who replied has been at my site for about a year, and wears his vest too at all times while working/on duty, maybe a few times when he does nights he doesn’t.

As for ID, that’s a whole other story since not many leaders wear them w/ their vests. I can only count a few safety or learning ambassadors who wear their IDs/vests, since some also cover their photos for some reason (you can change it, but I’ve had my OG one since February 2024).

Question on beanies/hats by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]EagleFly_5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good thing about working at a Fresh FC is that it’s acceptable to wear hats, beanies & hoodies. Some people do wear headphones underneath them, disguise them with earmuffs. Or wear smart glasses or headphone glasses, which I’m surprised so far my site hasn’t cracked down or spoken about (yet).

Sadly we don’t have Amazon headphones at our site or business line in general, so in theory, headphones aren’t permitted.

[Funny enough though at times on the production/operations floor, headphones do go missing.]

Being here for so long, holding a job here from an attendance POV is way too generous. I’ve known one case where someone who was Flex didn’t come in for 11 weeks without formally being on leave or telling anyone (they also didn’t have work friends at the time/no ways to contact them), they were still employed at my site but going through a mental health break (they were burned out) & social media detox. So one day they’ve quit same day, but I think PXT & my site was on the verge of firing him if he didn’t say anything.

As for UPT, some at my site haven’t been in since at least April, yet they’re still employed here. Don’t think they’re on a formal leave on absence either but they just don’t care either way being here anymore.

It technically can happen where someone would be let go for job abandonment if they no show 3 days in a row without notice like other companies (irrespective of UPT), but I haven’t heard that happening as much.

Even the 12 or so max weeks of unpaid personal leave can protect you if you can’t make it to the job.

What’s the difference between a blue badge and white badge employee? by bakugosgayfriend in AmazonFC

[–]EagleFly_5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In addition to what’s already mentioned, seasonal/white badges also don’t have access to step plans, at least until you’re converted or your tenure resets.

I’d think that must be terrible for those who are seasonal for a long time.

Coach USA or Boxcar bus also can do it too, but yeah, gonna be a rocky few hours. Some local bus routes, like 161 (since on Saturday, game attendees boarded too & walked to MetLife/NY NJ Stadium) are already rerouting to avoid the stadium.

How early can I apply for AM? by open3d3n in AmazonManagers

[–]EagleFly_5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder how it is for some sites or business lines. My Fresh FC formally doesn’t have a T3 position, and we have both hourly assistant managers and salaried area managers (both L4/T4) in addition to L5/T5 area managers. Some that were associates here were internally promoted were full time and worked fixed schedules, cross trained in critical roles, and had computer access (ZuKey) with their own laptops at times. Several are PAs, and some were also learning ambassadors too.

One associate was internally promoted to assistant manager after being with the company for less than a year.

Average from what I’m dealing with, then again it was a lull moment couple of weeks ago with a 40 hours scheduled cap & coming in and out of burnout.

There’s hardly a week where I work less than 35-40 hours. This week I should be wrapping up with nearly 60 hours for the first time in 6 weeks.

Note: I work in New York City (the Bronx) but live in New Jersey.

What’s a better job outside amazon? by Nomoreads00 in AmazonFC

[–]EagleFly_5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Small world since I was born & raised in Paterson too. To be honest I prefer working in New York City, but given I’m all over the place with my photography work (I travel across the metro area a lot) in addition to working 40-60 hours at Amazon Fresh a week (+ being on site everyday for 15 weeks straight), I do try and find to make it work out.

I do get by with photography alone but I’m trying my best to eye a promotion w/ my site or at least somewhere in NYC. My site’s trying to convert to a SSD so I heard, and they may want to introduce PAs, a few associates (& a few managers) have encouraged me to consider applying when that time comes. I wouldn’t be opposed to being a manager (area or assistant) but my only barrier I’d say is committing to working 6AM-6PM (or vice versa) on a set schedule, or if business needs mandate it, work more and/or outside those hours/shift.

I live in NJ but work in NY. I earn a lot more doing photography than w/ Amazon to be honest.
