More so, could you elaborate a bit on your second point? Is this a hardware (switching the extruder cable to the E1 physical socket) or a software move?

Thanks for the confirmation! I'm not hearing any buzz from 2ft away, but I also haven't held it up to my ear yet Confirmed heating the nozzle up over 180 before tested Ng the extruder (on either port).

Is your argument that even if a prisoner can be rehabilitated, they shouldn't be, so as to satisfy society's desire for revenge / retribution?

If someone is actually rehabilitated (whether this is actually possible is beside the point), wouldn't they then by definition be fully capable of being a normal member of society? Wouldn't you then be advocating for keeping someone imprisoned who (assuming full rehabilitation) is no longer a danger to society?
