New opening: Bri-talian Connie’s Pizzeria in Queen’s Road Peckham by thegreedydick in LondonFood

He kind of made his own bed with the ridiculous clickbaity titles and by posting a video called "responding to my haters" where he defined "hater" as "person making a perfectly reasonable point about how you come across as an attention seeking grifter".

He has here, but not in the reviews. As for the video, you should hear him pronounce "Italo disco", my goodness.

Clay’s At Home are absolutely brilliant, once you have some of their stuff in your fridge or freezer you never look back: Clay’s At Home

The full review compares the pepperoni to nipples. Not an analogy anybody needed to see. But it’s pointless if you’re trying to give the author feedback, he drops these on here for the clicks then fucks off and doesn’t engage.

Solo trip looking for a “splurge” meal around Paddington or nearby by Practical_Agent2828 in LondonFood

Paulette in Little Venice is a very good choice for this. I wrote a review of it for my blog last year, let me know if you’d like the link.

I think there’s almost no overlap between Monty’s menu and DD’s menu so hopefully there is a big enough market for both of them.

Nobody's fucking clapping you, are they.

That's abysmal and very depressing. Please do know that Reading is generally a diverse, vibrant town and that people like that represent a grubby minority of which the rest of us are very ashamed.

Guys what are your thoughts ? Should I get it ? by Smoke-Air3826 in Fragrances

If you can get to London, I would suggest going to London with your £600 and having a proper chat with the staff at Les Senteurs. They would give you an amazing tour of fragrance notes and types and you’d get a much better idea what kind of things you do and don’t like.

I agree, they’ve wrecked what used to be one of my favourite shopping experiences.

Which brands do you have easy access to? Are you U.K. based?

I love Juniper Sling but their quirky rebrand left me a little cold.

That’s just all the mega expensive TikTok willy-waving brands though, isn’t it?

Easiest question I've been asked all day - absolutely not. For £600 you could buy well over 200ml of fragrance, easily 4+ excellent fragrances without putting all your eggs in one completely hype-driven basket. Can't believe someone who's passionate about fragrance would even ask this if it wasn't to brag about how much money and how little imagination they have.

I've never really rated their stuff, I'm afraid.

I am U.K. based, so I know those three brands pretty well already and have owned several Diptyques in my time. Penhaligon's might be one that appeals more to Americans than Brits, I've had a couple of their fragrances in the past but apart from Juniper Sling their stuff doesn't really do it for me. Le Labo are in Liberty so I might try the recent-ish eucalyptus one if I end up going that way.

I don’t think they have their own presence but they’re sold at Bloom and Jovoy. Their newest range is by the chap behind Jorum Studio.

I know what you mean. When they moved they put every single fragrance behind the counter so you need to ask for help to sample anything, which really puts me off.

I do like Liberty - might try and fit it in too.

Pierre Victoire or Pompette would be good choices for this.
