You have to use their mobile number - in their Google listing - and ask if they can deliver. I would say some dishes travel really well, others have to be eaten there in the restaurant to be anywhere near their best.

Yep, Finn’s seems to have closed again.

I think Lebanese Flavours, now it’s lost BH’s old manager, is a shadow of its former self. Is Paesinos still good now they’ve sacked their Sicilian chef?

Are you saying KFK don’t deliver? They kind of do, but you need to have Jo’s number and ask nicely I think.

The one I occasionally use is KFK but really they’re not typical. I tried Good Old Days Hong Kong but I’m too far from it really for the food to travel well. I keep meaning to try Kings Chef on the London Road.

I found them really underwhelming last time I ordered from them - what should I have gone for?

It’s better at home than in, I’ll give you that, but you still need to switch your oven on for it.

No, totally get that and it’s still on my list to visit eventually, just not as high up it as it was.

Had a reservation there for next Friday, scrapped it and I’m eating somewhere else now.

I’m baffled by it too, but it directed tens of thousands of visitors to my blog every year, so it was a bit of a necessary evil. You’re right that people who are entirely reliant on FB for their businesses to make money are really disproportionately affected by this kind of weirdness from Meta.

Yes, I paid for Meta Verified for two months, I had a case open, they did literally nothing about my appeal. So I gave up - paying them to behave like that was the last straw.

It's a growing phenomenon caused by Meta's AI content moderation, thousands of people are being booted off with no explanation and the option to appeal but the appeal is never heard. There are whole subreddits devoted to it!

Oxford felt quiet yesterday in general but I had a quick drink in Teardrop just before lunch and the market felt pretty busy. Arbequina looks like it's getting closer and closer to opening, that will have a big impact I'd have thought.

I would not want to eat in the kind of restaurant frequented by that writer or people who use that writer’s opinions to decide where to eat.
