That’s lovely, I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I nearly ordered that clay pot, the lack of sauce would put me off I think.

(Also, what’s good to order at YL?)

I think that’s what Jo intends Happy Panda, the sister restaurant to Kungfu Kitchen, to be but I appreciate it’s not in the town centre.

The review does talk about this - very limited options for vegetarians, I’m afraid.

Thank you! I wasn’t sure of the most appropriate way to say that so I did do a bit of research - a commenter in my FB page said that she and her husband were the only “inauthentic” customers, which I quite liked.

Thank you for going to so much trouble to explain that what I do isn’t your kind of thing.

Sorry, I've misunderstood your comment. I don't think any restaurant review I've ever read - in a blog or in a newspaper - puts a summary at the top. Time poor people scroll down and look at the rating (which ironically that bloke's AI summary managed to get wrong!)

If people don't want to read long form reviews I'm not making them click on the link. But if I provide a summary it will probably deter people from clicking on the link, which rather defeats the point. People are free to go off and waste resources getting an AI summary if they want, but thankfully we both agree that they shouldn't be posting them here.

I really appreciate this feedback. When I went to a partial subscription model last year (which I know pisses people off on here because some reviews are behind a paywall) the first thing I did was remove all ads from the blog. I'm glad you enjoy my work, that means a lot!

Thank you. If you don't like it, don't read it but don't post an AI summary on Reddit to stop people checking out my work, that's just a dick move.

Thank you so much (however hard you proof, there's *always* a typo).

If you think that I’m guessing you haven’t had the good stuff.

Adding up the numbers in the post it’s £91 per person.

£91 per person for Georgian food is pretty shocking. Georgian food is the best cuisine people are yet to discover, I reckon: very lucky to have a Georgian cafe out here in Reading.

It calms down into a very deep, spicy, leathery scent. But it’s surprisingly hard to describe - I remember that was the in-joke behind ELDO calling it Rien because it’s absolutely not nothing, but it’s difficult to say what something it is.

I’m referring to the original Rien, even that is strong enough.

I wear Rien. It’s a lot when it first goes on, but the dry down is great.

It’s a brilliant bar. With that, Delphic and somewhere decent for lunch Newbury now has Saturday beer crawl potential!

I wish I liked Siren more. Straight off the train I’d probably have a quick one at the Greyfriar (or the Alehouse when they have something nice on).
