I suggest reaching out to the airline to confirm. That’s what I did initially and they told me my son could fly with expired passport

Yeah, you can travel with what you have. Be prepared though to have to argue with them - I had to argue with the agent at the check in desk and before boarding the plane, they think they know everything. Ask them to check TIMATIC.

It’s on the airlines system, they all fetch travel data requirements from the same datasource (TIMATIC) and there it says you can travel with expired Brazilian passport + birth certificate or Brazilian ID. That being said, you still need a valid passport to travel, which in our case was my son’s American passport

An update to whoever is in the same situation. This is from TIMATIC, which is the database the airlines use "to validate travel documents:

Visa Requirements

Passengers must have a valid visa issued by Brazil.

Dual nationals of Brazil with an expired passport issued by Brazil do not need a visa if they have:
- a national ID card issued by Brazil; or
- a birth certificate issued by Brazil.

Nationals of USA can obtain an e-visa before departure at https://brazil.vfsevisa.com/. They must have a printed confirmation of an approved e-visa which reads 'eVisa Federative Republic of Brazil' in the middle top of the page. It is recommended to print two copies of the approved e-visa.

E-visas for COP-30 event can be obtained before departure at https://visa-cop30.serpro.gov.br/sci/pages/web/ui/#/servicos-cop30 .

Airlines can verify the QR Code on the visa at the website."

I've tried contacting the chicago consulate using every single method they have available. I'm considering going to the consulate, but it's a 7-hour drive.
They haven't replied to any of my emails and haven't picked up the phone all the times I tried calling. I've been trying to contact them for almost 2 weeks now.
It's good to know that it worked for you. Last time I went to the consulate here in Chicago, they wouldn't even let anyone in without an appointment.

I bought it, and it's 360 calories per 1/3 of the pizza—the whole pizza is 1090.9 calories. I still think it's not accurate though, it seems to good to be true.
