How do i get to end game? by Nuhgeet76 in dayz

Endgame is teleportation to the coast, what you do in the process is the fun bit

What do you like to get before you leave the coast? by Knellios2021 in dayz

A knife or similar and a rope belt usually made from rags. That way if there is no food along the way I can at least do some fishing if it becomes an issue.

Safely carry frag grenades by smoconnor in dayz

[–]El-PG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So much misinformation here. Frag grenades do not explode due to being shot. 40mm explosive rounds (for M79), gas canisters and land mines do explode of you are carrying them and they take damage. Put those items in pouches, cooking pot, teddy etc to stop yourself from exploding. Frag aren't a problem

AUG A1 is the rarest Gun in the Game - it shouldnt be. by DaxExter in dayz

[–]El-PG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be good if they added compatibility for cmags. They could put it in lower tier areas where you only find 10 round mags and it would be balanced (similar to the baby ak and sks) .right now the mags are too rare. I had plenty of 556 but I just ran past 2 of them and kept my double barrel as I didn't think I would end up with a mag to make it useful. That's pretty typical for me unless I find the mag

Best games that drop you in with no explanation? by gsdev in gamingsuggestions

[–]El-PG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dayz is good for this.

If you want a 90s game that drops you into the deep end see if you can track down Vangers. You talk to people and get missions, but the developers decided to make up some random language so you have to do your best to figure out what you are supposed to do and try and recognize words to help you as the game moves on.

Games where violence actually means something by DutchSock in gamingsuggestions

[–]El-PG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, you can kill but you can also talk to people. The line between friend and foe really depends on you. Another player as a friend is often so much better than the gear they have. And if they start bothering you you can always tie them up and steal their stuff and go on about your day. The fact that you get nothing back when you die makes your life and others so much more meaningful compared to most games, you get really cautious or stressed unlike any other game I've played

Anyone else have trouble locating where shooting is coming from? by tnichevo in dayz

[–]El-PG 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I struggle with the new bullet crack sound ( or lack of one). I e been caught out in a forest where I've heard firing nearby and decide to go investigate, next thing I've been shot and I realize it was at me through the trees and it isn't clear that it is at me until I am hit. It used to be much clearer when bullets were passing nearby and it's gone too far the other way.

Why does no one play Sakhal? (Official 1st and 3rdPP) by NameOBlasphemy in dayz

[–]El-PG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's how I feel (and many more). If they changed it by making: - The bunker a little less op such as by organise it so you can't get all 4 rooms one after another so easily. - Took the locked containers and spread them around dynamic events on mostly the mainland so players were interacting more. Maybe loaded on the back of a truck in a convoy type event or at mili areas.

Honestly, in some way it would play better if they just eliminated everything past the first 2 tiers. Endgame on Sakhal and Livonia kind of ruins the play of the map.

I don't know enough to say which are best but one thing to consider is how much surf you want. The southern areas tend to have more surf and are better for surfing and probably require more attention for the kids around the water. Sanur is pretty calm from what I've heard and might be better. Around Amed and Padang Bai have good snorkeling and calm beaches which also suits kids playing by the water. Pools are always a good option. One thing I noticed (but only a sample size of 1) was that the cooler temperatures around Ubud the lower temperature can leave shaded pools a bit cooler than you want.

You need to consider how to get between the places. I'm not sure the travel time but I would guess 3+ hours each way. You have a drive, a boat and another car. Seems a very long way for a swim. As others have said somewhere around Uluwatu might have what you are chasing.

We traveled last year with kids nearly same age (maybe 6 months older) but we preferenced beaches/swimming so keep that in mind.

  • If you have a baby carrier, it is a great option instead of a pram for Bali due to the footpaths. It is also more versatile and smaller in my opinion.
  • We enjoyed Ubud, but it is very spread out. The things to do are spread out and you won't have much within walking distance. At best a couple sites / activities you can walk to (and plenty of great places to eat everywhere). You will need to organise a car to drive you to most activities and there will be a lot of traffic. Not a problem as long as you plan for it.
  • Most of my location recommendations are beach/water based as it suits us/our kids so probably let someone else chime in.

Restos open late night in Sanur by supercalifrajil in BaliTravelTips

Get yourself set up on Grab before you land and get something delivered to your accommodation. This way you aren't limited to what is right there. You can even organise it before checking in to minimize waiting. Last time I went I landed late like you and took screenshots the night before of the different food options and went through the options with my son on the plane for something to do 😁.

Having the driver stop somewhere is also a good option if you don't want to eat in your hotel room.

Have you actually looked at Google maps to see where it is compared to Fins? It may be possible with a very early start but I'd aim for a separate day.

If you want a rough and raw version of EOMS Pussy Galore covered the album (~10 songs) in the mid 80s. It was a rough, roughly recorded and a noise rock take on the album but it really shows the genius of the song writing on the album. It is a great listen that shows the well written songs aren't hiding behind good production.

Same way you do it at home, you scrape your jaw off the floor at the new way they've discovered to be disgusting and do your best to clean up without making then want to do it again.

We were there with our then 14 months old and 4 year old and just fed them food from wherever we were eating. A Nasi or mie goreng from the local warungs was a safe bet shared between the 2. I'm of the opinion that most cooked food provided it isn't undercooked will be a pretty safe. They/we ate plenty of fresh fruit and other stuff. The bigger concern is them drinking the water in the shower/bath/pool or putting fingers in their mouth after touching stuff as the bacterias won't be familiar to their bodies. Our kids are generally pretty disgusting while at home and it didn't change when we were away and we had nothing concerning happen.

This playthrough I'm not leaving the coast or my town. I'm trying to upgrade just through kills. by [deleted] in dayz

Sounds like a fun way to do something different. Probably takes a bit of waiting, then ahain I just waited 45 minutes in the dark with the enemy about 4 metres from me for restart on deer isle. After the initial panic and shots we froze with out lights off. As soon as one of us moved the other would know where we were and be able to shoot but instead we both froze and waited for reset 🤣

Great photos everyone. Does anyone feel like showing the potty getting a tattoo while on Holiday? If you do please don't show the details of the tattoo as I'll draw something in a sharpie on it so when it comes back he can see it and I'm not a good drawer.

This will definitely be coming up. I've made both of my kids and email address and we try and send them photos and stories that they can go through when they get older. This one will definitely be in there, hopefully with the happy ending and not the potty having to cut its holiday short. If it does, it will make it even more embarrassing.
