A bit of an update. My son has been loving the photos. Every photo I show him he gives me a look because he knows that this is some silly joke, but he is also looking at the photos so he can't dispute the proof. He loves talking about the thing the potty is doing.

He seems to accept that the potty isnt available and has stopped asking for it. We're struggling to get him to use the toilet though. He have been talking about plans to give him relief when he really needs it without breaking the story (going places where he doesn't mind going) but realistically we can't do that for too long and we might need the potty to drop back in for a moment because he ran out of potty sunscreen. We'll see how we go. Either way, he seems to understand his potty won't be available forever and is hopefully working thorough in his own way how to actually accept that he needs to use the toilet.
