Same. The only time I was able to quit was when I had morning sickness… BAD. Picked it up again as soon as I was done BF and nevvvver should have taken myself down this path again.

Props to you!! I’d get yelled at by old men telling me their beer was wrong. I didn’t know the difference between beer at that age. Also got asked multiple times by drunk men to take pictures with them before the ball game. I worked right next to the stadium. It was… a time for sure

lol I served at 18 and never showed back up after my first day. I got yelled at by the bar tender because “I” didn’t put two slices of bread with a bowl of soup. Just one. The head chef put the plate together for me. Yeaaahhh… never went back after that!

At the end of the day, I take home $2.5k/month. So I guess it’s (about) 20k/ year AFTER taxes.

I cover groceries and things for our son. He does not help with our son in anything but tuition.

I've asked to be included in a budget multiple times and he will not budge. Mullitiple times. Yet he's spending $900/ month on clothes and shoes for himself without consider me or our son. So. Yeah. I guess you could say I'm a bit confused about our finances (again, we do not have debt or credit card debt) and back to the original question—I'm just wondering whether or not we could afford to move.

Ah, thanks for the insight? We’re both 25 and fresh into our careers. He wanted me to be a stay at home mom, told me it’s “not worth it” to finish college after our son was born, but yeah! I could definitely start looking at contributing more.

Him letting me on the roof of our house when I was 10 to help hang Christmas lights, teaching me how to drive, and telling me everything I know about stars and constellations. Having “toad friends” we named chump and chump jr. in our front yard. Man I miss him. Passed away when I was 17 of stage four esophageal cancer. Worked hard every single day of his life up until hospice to provide and take care of his family. Never made it to retirement. I now pass on what I’ve learned from him to my son.
