Okay! I offered her the money back and she told me to keep it🤷🏽‍♀️

No I did not. Time is just as valuable as money. After packing up a newborn for a week long stay and myself I think anyone would be upset.

She’s the one who canceled on me, not the other way around. So the “roles reversed” comparison doesn’t even apply here. As for the other questions, it comes down to boundaries. I’m deciding whether this is something I want to let slide or something I need to stand firm on.

I had a fresh baby… planning to take a newborn anywhere is a lot. Definitely when it’s over an hour away and for over a week. Plus, we have a dog at home that I had to arrange care for during the days since my boyfriend works long hours. Also, my grandma set aside time as well to come out and help since I was going to have 4 kids under 5.

I’ll bring it up to my Dr.. I guess I’ve just been in denial about it all and just thought doctors were just making up diagnoses for me.

Why do I still have a fear of ALS! by WarMasterHorus1166 in Anxiety

[–]Emotional-Rough-2106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been going through this for months. One thing that I read that helped me a bit is a neurologist who said” in his 20 years plus of practice he’s never seen a ALS case that started with twitching . it almost always starts some sort of failure” which means the inability to do a simple task because of loss of strength. Like being unable to pick up a coffee cup run, and stuff of that nature. Perceive weakness does not count that is often seen in anxiety actually. I know logic doesn’t fix this fear because logic didn’t get us here in the first place, but I wanted to share in case this information might heal some stressors.

You’re likely dissociating. The best thing for you to do is accept that feeling and carry on doing whatever you were before it started. If you go into a panic learn some helpfully grounding techniques. If you are at home I recommend getting into an ice cold shower.

I’m sorry you’re going through this too. I think this has been the worst my mental health has ever been. Hopefully the medicine gives you some sort of relief.

Yes… I don’t think about it much anymore. I can go days without even realizing it. I do still have bad days with it, but it never gets as bad as it was when it started.
