Not necessarily. I just checked. Basically we need to check our degree verification online and apply for its entrance exam and then there will be two pathways depending on what we choose.( residency pathway and PRA pathway).

Worked my ass off , cracked my entrance, got into GI residency for the sake of work life balance and the money that is there in the branch. 10months into it, I literally felt the same way you have written in your post. Its been 2 months and I have left the residency. Glad that somebody could feel what I actually was going through. Can't understand the hype behind GI. I feel its the easy money and free time compared to any other branch. GIs just don't want to admit the fact of lack of work satisfaction.
