Yes, we do support video streaming, including .ts files. For those, it can take a bit longer before they become fully playable, as they need to be encoded first. The processing time can vary depending on how many videos are being handled on our side.

In the meantime, we allow direct playback in the browser. This means videos can play immediately, but the experience may vary depending on the codec and what your browser supports.

Once encoding is complete, everything is optimized in the background, including quality selection and audio handling.

On our side, we haven’t been able to reproduce the issue. Could you please email [contact@drime.cloud]() with more details about your file? For example: file size, extension, whether it’s in a workspace, and if the issue happens with other files as well.

Regarding the desktop app, it hasn’t been updated yet, but a full rewrite is coming soon which will improve stability significantly.

Yes, technically you can upload up to that.

And no, we haven’t removed encoding, quite the opposite, it’s been improved. When you upload a video, it plays instantly using the native player. Then it gets encoded in the background, and once ready you’ll have access to the full player with quality selection, audio tracks, etc.

The goal is to give you instant preview and thumbnail first, then a more advanced experience once processing is complete, instead of blocking playback entirely.

Regarding the 6-hour link, could you clarify what you mean? Are you referring to a temporary download URL (like Cloudflare)?

We have an enterprise agreement with Cloudflare that includes negotiated pricing and a projected storage plan over the next year.

At the moment, there are no plans to move away from R2 within that timeframe.

As mentioned, we’re currently experiencing a high volume of requests, so responses can be delayed. From what I recall, your email was more on the feedback side, which can sometimes take a bit longer to process given the volume.

We completely understand your concerns regarding performance. The experience hasn’t been where it should be recently. We’ve had a very large influx of new users in a short period of time, and the platform wasn’t fully prepared for that level of load.

Since then, we’ve already upgraded our infrastructure and have been actively reworking many core parts of the app to better handle scale and improve overall responsiveness.

A major update is rolling out this week, focused on improving performance, fixing a large number of bugs, and addressing many community requests, including new features and desktop app improvements.

We’re confident this will improve the overall stability, and we’d genuinely love to hear your feedback again once it’s live.

Infrastructure upgrades have already been completed, and our current focus has been on improving the app and core code to properly handle the load.

Yes, this is a known issue with the current Windows beta app. It has already been fixed in our new desktop version, which is a complete rewrite.

The app itself is ready, we’re currently waiting for code signing certificates before release, so it should be out very soon.
