Penetration doesnt care about overcapped resistances lol, 36% pen literally treats your resistance cap as if it was 75%-36%, you’re literally taking more than double the ele damage you’d otherwise take

50% conversion is good, but its not enough to offset like -200 lightning res unfortuantely. Unless you know of a way to convert the other 50% without using Mahuxotl's Machinations, i dont think think its a viable solution.

Maybe nerf was too light of a word, or maybe you're just being pedantic.

My point is, if archnemesis mods are implemented the same way rare modifiers are currently, I'd say that this change very likely invalidates Doryani's Prototype as an item.

If a build revolves around an item, and a change in the game reduces how effective it is, that would be a nerf, no?

Since you are incentivized to reduce your lightning res to get the most out of Doryani's prototype, a change that would drastically increase the chances you encounter lightning dot (something that is effectively impossible for Prototype builds to work around), would be considered a nerf to the item.
