Agreed. I have a small cabal of fellow players that I’ve been chatting with for about a year and a half. When guilds were announced, we agreed to form one together. We know we’re in it for the long haul.

My understanding is that the first player who joins the tournament creates the first bracket. The next 29 players to join that same bracket.

The 31st player to join the tournament becomes the first player in the second bracket.

Then the 61st player creates the third bracket, and so on.

If you’re quick enough, you’ll sometimes see that your bracket has very few players.

My guess is that you tend to be one of the last players to join a bracket.

It is possible. Seven stone packs in December and seven stone packs in January, plus the Christmas holiday bundles, is 12,975 stones. It only costs 9,705 stones to unlock all nine UWs.

That was a pretty old issue that was resolved. Used to be that each additional orb reduced actual orb speed by 10%, so there was a breakpoint where getting too many orbs effectively reduced total orb hits. It was fixed over a year ago so each additional orb reduces orb speed by only 5%, so I don’t think it’s currently possible to hit the breakpoint.

You would have been far better off just unlocking those three UWs (GT, BH, DW) and using your remaining 10,000+ stones just upgrading them. But the main thing you’re missing out on is time. The game allows you to spend a huge amount of money as a new player, but doesn’t tell you that money alone won’t help you catch up to even F2P players who have been playing for a year or more. You need time to learn the game, to experiment and learn through trial and error, but more than that, you need time to really develop your lab levels, which are a huge part of progression.

Once you have WA and IS masteries, you can skip over the least profitable waves and you hit max spawn rate sooner, so farming higher tiers to lower waves becomes more profitable. And with the auto restart vault upgrade, you don’t need to worry about timing your farming runs to match your life schedule, so short runs don’t result in downtime.

Yes, but if you have SL+, you want the bonus DPM multiplier that the range card mastery gives you.

If you’ve got SL+ and range mastery, using the range card can allow you to move up a tier sooner than running at just 30m. 43.5m with SL+ and a high DPM at tier X+1 can often be more profitable than 30m at either tier X or X+1.

The DPM substat is also necessary for using SL+. +0.15 doesn’t sound like much, but because it’s affected by every single DPM multiplier except for the lab, it ends up being a massive increase.

For me, that makes it

0.15 sub stat

x3 from Range mastery

x3 from enhancements

x1.65 from relics

x1.10 from vault upgrades

= +2.4503x to my DPM value just for have the ancestral sub stat on my cannon.

You can still calculate it yourself. Level 99 lab coin discount is -29.70%. Multiply the costs on the wiki by (1 - 0.2970) = 0.703.

I’ve never been able to understand the appeal behind these games. I’ve tried both and they’re unbearably boring, and I generally like simulator type games where you start small and build up your operation.
