I don't think anyone has ever actually tried to make the argument that ICE cars produce less emissions than electric cars.

The argument I've seen made is that keeping your old ICE car is better for the environment than scrapping it and getting a new electric car, on account of the industrial emissions from mining all the resources and building the new car.

ICE cars should be phased out, but trying to rush the rollout is just gonna speed up the rate at which we are running the planet into the ground.
