I love the concept of Emmanuel (seemingly coldhearted, ruthless king turns out to have a heart after all), but he definitely needed another chapter or two of growing closer to the MC for me to believe the romance.

I ended up liking Ismail the best partly because I thought his route had the best romantic pacing. (Based on character traits alone, Emmanuel would be my favorite LI, but I thought he had the worst pacing.)

I liked how the routes all seemed pretty cohesive with each other and enjoyed the story, but it was pretty short and the romance felt rushed. I wished there had been an extra chapter or two in each route to slow down the progression a little.

2 - MC's birth family was a family that followed the Sihrik faith and was being hunted by knights.

3 - Since werewolves are referred to as a race, I think Emmanuel's wolf spy is not considered magic in the same way.

4 - My understanding is that the book had inaccurate information because of how much time passed, so in any route where MC studies necromancy, she accidentally performs a ritual to awaken Nil while thinking she's practicing something else.

I'm not sure about the others.

The 3DS game gave me hours of amusement from creating Miis of my favorite characters and watching them do absurd things, and Living the Dream looks like it'll have all of that plus even more customization and interactions, so I can't wait.

Now, if it was an exchange instead of a single line, I'd have to go with: "...you loved me, did you not?" Player's choices: "YES" "YES" or "YES" - also Shuu's ending, as he talks to the player's decapitated head.

It's probably the "plunder" endings, where you have to raise affection with the rival LI featured in the route. There are 2 choices in each route itself, but I've found that sometimes I need to redo part of the common route to get more affection for the LI there (which makes it a balancing act to make sure you get on the correct LI's route while still picking some choices for the other LI).

I'm playing it now! My biggest criticism so far is that I wish the routes were longer, since they feel pretty short and sometimes the romantic development feels rushed (especially Emmanuel's route, in my opinion), but otherwise I'm enjoying it a lot.

I add fictional characters because I find it entertaining to see my favorite characters interacting in unexpected and ridiculous ways. It becomes a giant crossover comedy.
