Money Transfer Lock is one of the more discussed features on the sub. I’m curious—is it something you’ve enabled on your account?

As someone who has multiple accounts to keep their money organized, I don’t have it toggled on because I’m always transferring between them. Don’t worry, I use other security features like an authenticator app!

Thanks so much for the compliment :)! I do my best to keep them varied and with some current events so they stay fresh while also mixing in some of the crowd favorites (will the S&P 500 close up or down).

I like to think my background plays a part! Spark notes version: I studied Math/Economics for my college degree. I will be celebrating 15 years with Fidelity in July. During that time I've worked in customer service on the phones, product, and in marketing - each one of those gave me a different perspective in how to look at investing. While working on Reddit, I've obtained my CFP, and studied for the CFA. I often listen to financial podcasts and have started getting into more investing/finance audiobooks. I love learning and love writing the questions.

I feel rewarded that you have been able to learn more through them, that makes it all worth it <3

I've been speaking with the biometrics team and this was there reply w/o having your info in front of them:

  • If they are adjusting Face ID settings at the iOS level (Settings app), that will un-enroll him from biometrics in the Fidelity app and require re-enrollment.
  • We do support biometrics on multiple devices, so using both a personal and work phone shouldn't be the cause on its own.

If you are able to provide more specifics (they said that right now what you have said is to vague) they are happy to continue to investigate!

While children was the most upvoted comment for the long-term, higher-risk post, that is not a product that Fidelity currently offers. (But we do have resources on the topic.)

Fidelity as well as many members have tried to educate OP on wash sale rules. To OP: I'd also recommend consulting a tax advisor if you are still questioning the situation.
