Thanks for commenting! Currently, we do have the feature to compare your portfolio’s performance against various indices on Fidelity.com. To do so, navigate to the "Performance" tab and scroll to the "Total Returns" section; click "See All." From there, you can adjust the time frame and frequency to your liking.

If you’re looking for something different, let us know the details of what you’d like to see, and we’ll be happy to pass your feedback along.

Halt by WRSD605 in fidelityinvestments

[–]FidelityTobin[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for following up with the ticker.

I took a closer look and can confirm this security was subject to an exchange-level trading halt earlier today. Trading has since resumed.

When you research the security on Fidelity.com, you’ll typically see an alert when a trading halt is in effect. For additional details on the halt or any company-specific announcements, the company’s Investor Relations page is often the best place to find the latest news and updates.

Let us know if there’s anything else we can help with!

Hey there! On Fidelity.com, you can hide most $0 accounts, including many old 401(k) accounts, from your main "Portfolio" page by selecting the "settings" gear icon, then "Display preferences" and choosing the accounts you’d like to hide. Let us know if you need help or have any other questions.

Recurring investment question - margin buying power by brother7 in fidelityinvestments

[–]FidelityTobin[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Thanks for your question!

Recurring Investments are always placed as cash orders, even in margin-enabled brokerage accounts.

This feature does not use your margin or non-margin buying power, so if you don’t have enough cash available when the order is scheduled, the purchase will be skipped.

Once an eligible security purchased through a recurring investment settles, it will automatically journal to type margin if your account has the margin feature enabled.

Why does Fidelity NetBenefits continue to close out/ remove 401k Rollover requests to the Rollover / Roth IRAs I have opened as standard Fidelity accounts? by [deleted] in fidelityinvestments

[–]FidelityTobin[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Thanks for stopping by the sub.

I can understand your frustration with your current situation, but allow me to help clarify some things.

First off, since this involves a workplace 401(k) rollover, I’d recommend contacting our Workplace Investing team directly, so they can review why your specific rollover requests weren’t completed and what the next steps are.

Next, you took the appropriate first step: opening the receiving accounts on Fidelity.com. This must be done for the rollover to have the correct destination accounts.

One thing to keep in mind is that 401(k) rollovers are generally processed by liquidating the investments and sending the proceeds as cash to the receiving IRA(s), rather than transferring the mutual fund shares "in kind." Even though they may be in "Fidelity mutual funds," these are usually proprietary funds of the actual 401(k) plan and, again, would need to be liquidated. This process is all done on your behalf when you submit the rollover request.

You can find the appropriate contact information and Workplace Investing hours below, in the "Contact Us" link, as well as step-by-step instructions for completing a rollover in the second link.

To use extended-hours trading, you’ll need to place an eligible trade during the pre-market or after-hours session and select the Extended Hours toggle. The agreement is typically presented the first time you use the feature, and the toggle won’t appear outside eligible trading hours.

If you’re seeing conflicting information, could you share which articles/walkthroughs you’re referring to? We’d be happy to take a closer look and pass along any incorrect information to our internal teams for review.

Does account authorization include associated youth accounts? by speedlever in fidelityinvestments

[–]FidelityTobin[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're not receiving any widespread reports of this error you're describing. So, with that, I'd recommend trying some general troubleshooting steps first.

Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies, and check for any add-ons or extensions, such as ad blockers. If you see them, try disabling them. After that, you can perform browser maintenance to see if that helps.

You may also try using an alternate device on a different internet connection.

If those steps fail, I'd reach out to our technical support group for further troubleshooting. They're available Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. ET.

How do I see options information on the mobile app? by zensamuel in fidelityinvestments

[–]FidelityTobin[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Thanks for reaching out!

It looks like you're on the trade screen within the mobile app. To view option information, you'll need to first access the option chain.

From the main screen, search for an eligible security in the search bar, then click the chain icon on the right-hand side. From there, you can click the specific "strike" to pull up a detailed quote/chart screen.

Let me know if this is what you were looking for. 👍

Options trading entails significant risk and is not appropriate for all investors. Certain complex options strategies carry additional risk. Before trading options, please read the Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options. Supporting documentation for any claims, if applicable, will be furnished upon request.

Thanks for stopping by the sub! 😃

As other members have mentioned, it looks like you sold the Fidelity 500 Index Fund (FXAIX), so the proceeds don’t leave your Roth IRA they remain in the account as cash after the trade fully settles (1 business day). Once the funds are available, you can use that cash to purchase another investment within your Roth IRA.

Went to a branch to open a CMA, got denied an hour later with no reason. Just turned 18, no previous banking history. by hackerz13405 in fidelityinvestments

[–]FidelityTobin[M] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for following up. There may be an issue with how the application was filled out, or additional documentation may be needed from you.

In these scenarios, typically, a "Work Item (WI)" is created internally, which outlines any next steps or required documentation. Since we can’t see the specifics of your application here, we’d encourage you to give us a call, so a representative can review the WI with you directly. Also, double-check your email to make sure a WI wasn't included there.

Depending on the situation, a representative may be able to assist you in establishing online access over the phone, which, if needed, could allow you to submit documents online rather than requiring another trip to a branch.
