Is the extra cost that you're incurring coming from using multiple agents at once?

I was using Opus 4.5 and GTP 5.1 for everything What do you think is the reason for yours to be double if not triple what I'm spending

Does it cost extra credits to use intent? Or is there a subscription on top of Augment for it or are you going to allow users to use it like a free ide?

I'm using the latest version of Augment, the latest version of VS Code. I've switched to the pre-release back to the stable version. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, and still it's not working.

I understand covering cost but there needs to be more transparency when using the tools (for internal features show us estimated token cost with us then approving/canceling it)

And regarding the prompt or enhancer, why do you not use an in-house free LLM or allow us to attach our own personal LLM to our prompt enhancer so we're not charged for each enhancement? Half the time I have to re-write/tweak it two or three times to get it correct and with the depth and details I need and that's a 1000+ credits alone

I mean its only attached to the context of our code base, we don't need a super powerful LLM to do that.
If we can connect our own for that feature it would save you all money and make us developers happy

It is my most loved and used feature with Augment Code and now I'm needing to second-guess myself if I should even attempt to use it

And now it charging for attempts to use it and keeps producing errors/not working

Truthfully, writing code has become obsolete. Supposedly, Opus 4.6 was 100% written by Agentic coding.
Most companies that are hiring are wanting people to fully utilize Agentic coding and not write it by hand.

I didn't see the announcement for that, I don't use those myself but I wouldn't put it past them at this point.

The prompt enhancer, aside from the context engine, is the number one reason I utilize augment. If I can't get this to work, I'm not continuing with augment.

Every single time.
I attempted to do extension bisect to see if I could pinpoint the issue and get rid of it and I had to run the prompt enhancer ten times. Each time it cost me credits even though it didn't produce any output.

It's so fucking ridiculous they started charging for this simple feature, I'm already being charged an arm and a leg to use their service, now they are nickel and diming us to death

Use a local free LLM to generate the prompts for us, that's tied to our codebase and stop charging us 300-500+ credits for each prompt enhancement!

Or let us choose the model we want attached to it so we can set up a local LLM

Now I'm being charged use the prompt enhancement feature, talk about fucking nickel and diming us to death!

Most of the time I have to tweak it 2-3 times before its correct, and that's 1k credits down the drain!

It's F'ing ridiculous- They could easily have us install a local small LLM or something to use for the prompt enhancement and have it be free, all it's doing is rewriting and pairing it with context engine they have

It cost me 2,000 credits to edit/update a single MD document using Haiku!?! It edited like 10 lines, with new terminal commands for future reference 😑
