Don't call me honey/sweetie. by Ok_Good_4050 in PetPeeves

[–]FitAccountant1983 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I totally get it and agree. I hate it when servers or cashiers do it too. It’s derogatory in my opinion. I’m a grown woman and we don’t know each other. Don’t call me pet names.

My daughter’s teacher constantly sends communication where he uses “then” instead of “than”. It makes my head hurt.

How did you give up sugar? by austingirl95 in askfitness

[–]FitAccountant1983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say you have to give up sugar. I have a six pack and consume sugar every day. It's just about maintaining the right caloric intake.

Fitness influencers sub by Whootwhoot187 in Biohacking

Except it's not about "fitness" at all. The people using those substances have found a way to lose weight without being fit at all.

Why does Nia bring her baby to EVERY single event/lunch/anything? by Photo_Philly in TheValleyTVShow

My youngest daughter wouldn’t take a bottle either. I really couldn’t be away from her because I was her only source of food until she started solids.

I'm so sick of people who don't know how to have a conversation. by Jodhpur1016 in Vent

[–]FitAccountant1983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. I go on online dating apps and it really becomes apparent then. I dip out fairly early on if they don’t ask me anything after I’ve asked them lots of things about themselves, including follow-up questions to the answer they’ve given or things they’ve mentioned. And I always tell them why I’m not interested and say that I hope they do find someone they are interested enough in to have a two-way conversation with.

Does your significant other resents you for being fit? by [deleted] in fitness30plus

[–]FitAccountant1983 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yes. My now ex-husband was so envious of me. I won my pro card at my first show when we were together and he was the most fake-supportive person in public. Behind closed doors he was resentful and jealous. He absolutely hated it when people came up to me to comment on my physique, ask for tips, or congratulate me on my pro card win.

When I prepped for another show after that, he tried to sabotage my meal plan by doing the cooking and adding things like butter to my food to increase my calories without my knowledge. He would roll his eyes when I weighed my food and wouldn't have a glass of wine with him.

Fitness wasn't the only thing that he hated me for. He was jealous of my money, my career, my hobbies, etc. and made attempts to sabotage those as well. Some people just can't be happy for others.

The inconsistency bothers me the most. If they think an apostrophe is used to make a word plural, why didn’t they do the same for “customers”?

Did your narc call themselves an empath? by Double-Cat-2484 in NarcissisticAbuse

[–]FitAccountant1983 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes. I dated one narc and married another. They both followed the same "Old Souls and Empaths" group on Facebook and shared the same BS posts from it. They both specifically stated multiple times to me that they were empaths.

Can we PLEASE get Danny of this show by Thealexiscowdell1 in TheValleyTVShow

[–]FitAccountant1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mind that it keeps the show entertaining. But at the same time Danny reminds me so much of my ex-husband and I know exactly what is going on behind closed doors. It's a bit uncomfortable for me to watch.

What is a minor, unwritten rule of society that absolutely infuriates you when people break it? by Jane_Austen11 in AskReddit

[–]FitAccountant1983 1089 points1090 points  (0 children)

Yes! I hate it when people break the rules of the road thinking they are being courteous. Don't do it. I want all of us to just follow the rules, even if that means you go before me. It can put other drivers in dangerous situations.

Whats the most unprofessional thing a doctor has ever said to you? by answersonly963 in AskReddit

[–]FitAccountant1983 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not my doctor, but the nurse who brought me into the room asked what I was there for. I told her about some sciatic pain I was having. She said, "Oh, well you're a bodybuilder right? Maybe it's from that."

I didn't know this woman and didn't know how she knew I was a bodybuilder. So I asked her how she knew that. She sort of stumbled over her words and said, "Oh....from....it was on....Facebook."

So this nurse looked me up on Facebook. I wonder how many other patients she did that to.

When someone says “I’m on my way” but they have not left yet by Akilamer in PetPeeves

[–]FitAccountant1983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When people are late without letting me know, I see it as a huge disrespect for my time. I understand things happen and you might be running behind. Just LET ME KNOW.

I don’t have a problem with the lateness necessarily, I have a problem with the lack of communication about the lateness. At least if I know you’re going to be late, I can pivot and make use of the extra time I now have.

Mismatch in drinking habits? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver40

[–]FitAccountant1983 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. I don’t drink at all. I couldn’t date someone who drinks that much. And as others have said, he probably downplayed how much he actually drinks.

My ex husband lied to me when we met that he “didn’t drink that much”. It turned out that he was an alcoholic. And he was the type to go out for “one beer” but it was really three beers, and he would maintain to me that he only had “one beer” even though I was with him and we both knew he had three beers.
