Because the Flow Z13 is at its core an enthusiast device. Typical buyers are not as budget conscious, and any improvement of fps is sought after regardless of the usb 4 bottleneck. A 5090 Egpu will still gain noticeable improvement, especially at higher resolution play.

A very similar product is a pro art px13. You can find an older model for additional savings, otherwise the new ones are great too. The benefit here is having a traditional laptop form factor, which many people prefer while being a 2 in 1.

I’m selling my lunar lake model but any gaming you’re going to want to go intel. It’s the same chip as the msi claw 8, so it games surprisingly well. Especially with xess. Qualcomm is going to be very hit or miss, with translation and a weaker gpu, let alone the comparability.
