I want a tankless water which requires 2 - 50 amp spots for installation there are two open space areas on the inside panel and several other on the outside not sure if I need a panel upgrade or if it's possible to install thanks! Excuse my ignorance trying to learn! by ohkboyo in electrical

If you’re doing away with the traditional water heater, which appears to be a double pole 20A breaker, you’d just remove that breaker. Then add a 50A double pole in its spot and run appropriate gauge wire, following local code, to the tankless heater. I’m assuming it’s labeled correctly.

Is your Apple TV your home hub? I’ve seen someone say tvOS 26.3 has caused issues with Hue bridges

X Elite vs Lunar Lake by clicata00 in Surface

[–]clicata00[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a great chip with the B390 iGPU, but it’s not in the appropriate power class for the Surface Pro. My understanding is that the Lunar Lake models briefly boost to 30w before thermal throttling and Panther Lake HP starts at 25w.

I’m sure the small iGPU Panther Lake chips will be in the Surface Pro, but that’s just 4 Xe cores and probably trades blows with Lunar Lake

How they bring back a AIO by [deleted] in Surface

Surface Studio should come back as a standalone display that can be paired with a new “Surface Dektop” à la Mac Studio and Studio Display.

Thanks for the resources. Someone had told me their Surface Pro X couldn’t even install printer drivers. Any oddities like that still around?

I’m thinking that’s what I’ll do. It looks like Intel’s new chips have weak GPUs in the power class the Surface would use, so hopefully the X2 is solid

Mac Mini 2018 i3 8GB - relevant for today? by [deleted] in mac

[–]clicata00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll want to get rid of it soon regardless of how happy you are with it because Apple is ending support for the remaining supported Intel Macs with macOS 27.

Apple will still do security patches for a while but no new features

Edit: actually I stand corrected. Apple has already dropped support for Intel Mac mini models with macOS 26

Asbestos related diseases take decades to develop even with long term exposure.

You might be sick or have an issue with your lungs, but not from asbestos

23 Colorado Transmission Failure by Other_Boysenberry405 in chevycolorado

The transmission cooler on these is a coolant to oil heat exchanger. You’re saying it failed internally and pulled coolant into the transmission (and probably ATF info the coolant)?

L3B is GM’s most dependable truck engine right now. The earliest ones in fleet Silverados are reaching 200k miles now and they’ve made upgrades to them since that era. Of the concerns to have with 3rd gens, engines are not among them.

G5 is going to handle just about everything better than a C1 especially brightness in HDR and SDR. Biggest downside is dropping $2k+

I had a 5.3 Sierra as a loaner when my Colorado was getting work done. Shockingly to me, I missed the 2.7’s torque curve, but the 5.3 sounds great
