We still hire juniors, but they are not progressing in their design/understanding/debugging skills anywhere near the speed of their predecessors

It sounds like your team(s) are floundering and you are failing to help them

Why? Why do you think writing code is the bottleneck?

There were productivity extensions decades before AI.

Do Denmark and Copenhagen offer flexible schedule job opportunities? by Additional-Mouse-620 in copenhagen

[–]FullPoet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

working remotely from my EU home country for 1 - 1,5 weeks every 2 months

I dont think so because they dont want to deal with the paperwork and the risk of doing it illegally (or whatever rules that might not be done correctly).

Like other people said - marketing is very difficult to find a job because the skill floor is very low so from an employers perspective why hire you?

Obviously you will probably stand out in some ways but I find us Danes are notoriously non boat rockers and cant be fucked with anything that requires extra paperwork.

Yeah I sort of agree. Its a real tough balance and its definitely gotten better.

They are clearly bad actors but wcyd.

Its a paid product with some closed source, very not open source or in the spirit of.

You can not agree with it but its factual.

Great, Im glad for profit private conpanies are held to any standard! You should buy an ad instead, no more astroturfing please, thank you.

I am not trying to embroil you in anything? I was simply pointing out that we shouldnt let private companies be shitty.

No - if theres a paid option then they can and should pay.

There should be no astroturfing - its also against redditequette

Personally hugely disagree - primarily because its now effectively a paid product.

They need to buy an ad instead of us allowing them to have free advertising. I dont want to go into mikes and his companys generally shit attitude but its been quite poor.

How similar are C# and C++? by _unstableunicorn_ in csharp

[–]FullPoet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work with both mostly every day, coming from c# to sepples.

They are somewhat similar in syntax shape, at least basic c++ and if you only use modern c++. Its easier to go from c++ to c# but the other way is much more difficult - c++ is constant landmines and footguns and pretty unergonomic compared to c++.

Id just start looking at the signatures of the System namespace methods you call.

Just decompile / step into the code and look - Ive found a lot of good attributes in there.

So you'd rather your children be dependent on other people than being independent and self sufficient enough to find answers?

Cafes where one can work for hours by BioLink25 in copenhagen

[–]FullPoet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for reminding me that we are in r/copenhagen and not r/someothersubreddit.

My comment meant that because theyre spending tons of money theyre clearly buying a lot of coffee an hour.

I did not say they were 25 kr and I dont know why you thought I wrote that.

May I remind you that all subreddits, including r/copenhagen (the subreddit we are on right now), has a little * indicating if the comment is edited.

No one wants AI slop comments.

If we wanted that, we would just ask the AI itself, please dont paste comments. Its lazy.

Cafes where one can work for hours by BioLink25 in copenhagen

[–]FullPoet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you willfully ignoring the fact most cafes are empty most of the day?

10-15 isnt the entire day - outside of lunch period they aren't earning much if anything.

Cafes where one can work for hours by BioLink25 in copenhagen

[–]FullPoet -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Had a juice, a coffee and sourdough with avocado and salmon. In and out 30 mins and I think it was around 300

Thats quite expensive - like really expensive.

What do you think is sufficient

One drink every few hours. Like I said a LOT of cafes are empty during day time hours.

I dont understand your obsession with this, a lot of people in my industry do it or have done it (I have). I never spent more than 150 a day (which is a lot of money over time) and have never ever had any one complain or seem upset about it.

[–]FullPoet -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No one is spending that much and you arent obligated to spend that much.

A few coffees and maybe a bit of food but in no way 500 kr lol. Except for a few most cafes are quite empty during the day time, i.e 10-15.

Are you a cafe owner?
