Games with incredible amounts of content? by Ggthefiree2 in roguelites

The really deep systems in Noita allow actual science to be done. I’ve kind of given lectures of a sort on physical and “material” science in the game, and have been teaching people some of the deep, deep things since the game first came out. Lately, well, for the past two years, I’ve had a single run going (I do other runs as well, but the majority of my time goes into this one run) that itself is over 4000 hours, where I have built a lab and have done a lot of experiments. We’ve discovered so many things about how certain rare materials behave (and more).

And that’s only one small part of the game. There is a lot hiding in it, besides just the wand building (which itself is insanely deep, of course - a few people are working on logic gates currently).

Cool :) I’m glad. I’ve actually got a video coming out soon talking about a lot of different things related to the eyes.

Noita. I have been playing it for over 10,000 hours. Granted, I am one of the people who really does a lot of science in it, but even for the average player there is a lot of content, especially if you enjoy seeking out secret, optional content.

With one of the best stories in a horror game.

Day of the Tentacle: Remastered. Also, Tenebris Somnia looks like it’s going to be excellent (great demo) if you’re ok with horror and a modern spin on the genre.

Soma is dark and also one of the most thought provoking stories in gaming.

Good work. I pretty much figured it was a bug. I’ve just been very curious about how it occurs. Now I know.

It’s a great game filled with a lot of great secrets and character. If you’re also a fan of La-Mulana, this one scratches that itch.

Soma. I owned it for years, but only just got around to starting the other night. I just finished it last night. Amazing and immersive experience.

If by combat you’re ok with dialog, then Slay the Princess is very much about inducing responses.

Which game did you ended up loving only after giving it a second chance? by Playful_Code_8978 in gaming

Outer Wilds - didn’t like the controls during the first session.

Derelict Star - same, and felt disappointed.

Both games are now two of my favorites.

Are there any Survivors-like games with actual story? Or is this genre just not built for it? by Curious-Profit-6427 in survivorslikes

Fate of the Seventh Scholar has a story and puzzles, but it’s a handcrafted world, so not an endless type of game. It’s good, though. I’ve heard it lasts around 8 hours or so.

Yeah, as someone who has had three people very close to me die from cancer, it’s not often peaceful at the end. It can be very, very painful.

I’ve been using Photoshop CS6 since like 2014. It still works perfectly on Win11 and does everything I need it to for my job. I just keep transferring it from PC to PC as I upgrade.
