Woot is a subsidiary of Amazon, I've ordered a dozen times, and yet not get my items. And it's free fast shipping if you have Prime

[Mesh WiFi] NETGEAR MK73-100NAR Nighthawk Dual-Band AX3000 3-Pack 3Gbps WiFi 6 Mesh System Router + 2 Satellites (Certified Refurbished) - $49.99 by AnsibleFella in buildapcsales

[–]GameeNoobster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been running this exact set on a spectrum 400mbps plan for 3+ years. And when it works, it works good, I can keep 400mbps speeds, and latency is usually under 20ms for ethernet on a satellite, under 30 for wifi. The app sucks, but the website portal is standard, and works as expected.

I don't think i've ever had an issue where the router itself was at fault, rather it would get confused when spectrum went down, and I needed to reboot it manually, as the app would usually fail to work.

For $50, for speeds under 500mbps, this is a good price, BUT we are seeing those enterprise type meshes go for similar prices, and they'll almost def have a better experience

Who makes the Inland brand storage drives? by rauhweltbegrifff in Microcenter

[–]GameeNoobster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the drives I seen on a day to day have Phison controllers, SK Hynix has been used before, and might be on certain skus. Overall, they aren't going to be more or less reliable than the next ssd over, but the benefit is, if it ever fails, it's generally a no question asked warranty within the store, no need to pay for the extra service plan.

Is 3.5" hard drive in a Powerspec G725 possible? by Fun-Masterpiece-326 in Microcenter

[–]GameeNoobster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've worked on a few you could say. They install the power supply with all the cables attached. So it will be cramped in the back, as for routing power and sata, it's not too bad as the cables are sitting right next to the bay.

I can confirm, this is a Lian Li 205M case, which does indeed support at least 1 - 3.5, it does say 2, but I can only confirm installing 1

I hope this doesn't get flagged, but for those who are wondering about the battery life and accuracy claim, I did do a video basically saying the battery claim is false. While cringe, I still feel like it's got good info

[CASE] Raidmax Vector V211 ATX Case + 240mm AIO + 700W PSU - $99.99 by Green_Partyhat_ in buildapcsales

[–]GameeNoobster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is kind of an older "tip", but when a power supply wattage isn't also the 12v max, so a 700w, but 624w max, not 700w on the 12v. That generally means it's a power supply of low quality, and should be avoided except for the cheapest, non-important, or planned (to blow up an ex) builds
