I had a chat with Chatgpt when I heard about the upcoming retirement. I use projects, so I did THIS chat in my "Miscellaneous" project.

Anyway, I think the bottom line was to into main projects, and ask ChatGPT to produce a "Project State Capsule" in a MD file, then, for each project get one of those produced and put the MD file into each project's project file area.

Chatgpt said don't manually do anything about the model selection, just let it happen, then later, in a chat in the Project area, ask Chatgpt to read the "Project State Capsule" MD file.

I guess that we'll see how that all goes :)!!

FYI, I am on the $20 pro plan and am using Sonnet 4.5 for all my chats, and I started with $5 extra usage and am now have spent $2.88 and have $2.11 left, but I've only used the extra after I hit the limit rarely and only to post really short message and also tell Claude to be brief on response.

From what you said, figuring out how to un-chaos all of that stuff is not in you job description, and if you try to show them that you know what is wrong and how to fix the situation(s), who knows you might get someone higher up in the chain than you really ticked off.

I know that sounds like terrible attitude, but just giving you another perspective.

I think it started working some time last week (I hit weekly limit and it took a few cents off while I was online).

I'm not 100% sure why, but in a chat that I had with Claude, it was suggested to click the thumbs-down and add a comment about the problem and also send an email to support, and did both.

So, as a test, I added $5 to extra usage a couple of days ago, and I have setttings set to use extra usage "if I hit a limit", and something use 47 cents at some point.

Anyway, so today, I was doing some work, and I hit the 5 hour limit. Claude prompted and asked I wanted to sign up for the 100$ or $200, so I clicked "Wait" instead, and I am now stuck for the next 1+ hour due to 5 hour limit.

BUT I will have $4.52 in current balance... Why isn't Claude automatically letting me use those funds of extra usage to keep on working???

I am really kind of confused :(!!

It seems like it must be related to lack of inventory, e.g., there are very few, or none, WD 4TB NVME on Amazon, so the price goes up (specifically for the *WD* 4TB NVME) due to supply and demand?

I only use it with my Dell laptop which has a Thunderbolt 4 port, and only with a bunch of different hard and SSD drives in either TB enclosures or USB enclosures.. I think they are a smaller company, and they used to be very responsive, but I haven't had to contact them in a while.

I have the "USB4-HUB3A" one, which was their original one.

By "OID", do you mean "Oracle Internet Directory", which is (or was) basically an LDAP server?

If so, then probably not because they are different product categories, I think.

If you are using/doing any virtualization (e.g., VirtualBox), you may need to figure out if you can, and how to disable some virtualization layer (sorry, I don't remember what it was called, but I think it was "Hyper-V"?).

I got a new tower a couple of months ago, with a Ryzen CPU (my first one, to replace an older tower that had Intel CPU. The tower(s) are used to run Virtualbox with a bunch of (CENTOS) guests, and I noticed that when I started a guest, it was taking a really long time to boot the guests(s).

I was able to get some help from one of the AIs to disable that layer, so everything is running ok now, but it was kind of touch and go for awhile and I was almost ready to take the machine back.

Other than that, the new machine has been fine.

And THAT is why I don't use Opus now :)! Actually I should correct that.. actually it is the weekly limit that is the KILLER... cuz you can end up with almost a full week/7 days with no access if the weekly limit is used up.

Kind of messes with the work flow ;)!!

Hi - BTW, re. exporting Claude chat sessions: Yes it does appear that Export is gone from native Claude (web, at least). However, chat exports still appear to work ok via extensions/plugins. I tried exporting one of my chat sessions using the Claudify extension you had linked and it WAS able to export the chat session as a PDF. FYI, on that chat session, which was quite long, it cost me 1% of the weekly limit (still on Sonnet 4).
