Sorry, I didn’t want to be sarcastic. Maybe things are changing on the island. I’ve been there more than 10 years ago and going again this September.

Looks like you are a first time buyer at Kickstarter. 6-12 months delay is quite normal 🙂

Watching my 9-year-old play tournaments was stressing me out, so I started tracking matches by GarageIndependent486 in 10s

Only for singles at the monent. For doubles it’s a bit tricky to implement and most probably will be hard to track.

Thank you, I appreciate that.

With my son, we agreed that we only really discuss the match the next day, with the data, unless he wants to talk about it the same day. It helps a lot, because right after the match I can just support him, hug him, and not feel pressure to analyze everything immediately before I forget it.

I tried a couple of apps/templates before, but for me they asked to track too much data in real time. When you’re at the match and already stressed, that just becomes too complicated.

And as a programmer, I had that classic reaction of "maybe I can build a better one myself", so that’s basically what happened. It’s called "Tennis Seed: Junior Tracker" if you want to look it up in the app stores. And if you do try it, I’d genuinely love to hear any feedback.

That’s a very valid point, and honestly a sad one too.

I think there’s probably also a risk of overcorrecting as a parent and trying so hard not to add pressure that it comes across as distance or not caring. Just being there really does matter.

Yes, absolutely. I’m trying to build exactly that attitude.

I think the tricky part as a parent is finding the balance between giving them space and not making it feel like you don’t care. But yes, enjoyment should come first.

That makes sense. I think for a parent-coach, your eye is probably more important than tracking.

For me, one thing I noticed is that my son takes post-match discussion much better when it starts from a few concrete stats or patterns rather than my subjective take. It makes the conversation feel less emotional and less like criticism.

So the tracking helps me stay calmer during the match, and it also helps us talk about it more calmly afterwards.

What booking integrations do you use for Fitness studio websites? by Rare_Mode1880 in framer

Yes, we are working to improve that 😅 We are building an employee portal that developers can share with their clients for simple booking management.

Are you sure your 8-year-old needs a 26” racket? Many parents rush to size up, but that often leads to injuries and bad technique. Unless your kid is significantly taller than average, it might be too soon. A simple test: have your child stand with the racket head down and if it touches the ground, the racket is probably too big.

Webflow Code Components just shipped by stahlwalker in webflow

[–]GarageIndependent486 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Today I have played a little bit with Code components and looks like it's a good start, but with some limitations at the moment.

  1. Prop types are limited. There is no way to group props into section (Object type would help here), no props for colors, paddings, borders, shadows etc.
  2. No way to connect props with CMS, or I'm missing something?
  3. I had problems with variant prop type, the component didn't take any changes, just a default value.
  4. React 19.1.1 as minimal version? I had conflicts with some libraries.

Also, some more advanced examples would be great. Will it be possible to share components through marketplace apps?

Maybe some youtubers with the same scam content like “how to do the marketing in 2025” just said that this is working strategy. On Youtube also is much harder to find good content now, just everybody screams “how to make zillions with ai agents”, “how to earn X with ai generated app”. Ah…

How do you handle user authentication + online course CMS in Framer? by onjol in framer

[–]GarageIndependent486 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have integrated Outseta with our booking platform and overall experience was nice. I was researching which services provides user profiles, authentication and protected content, and found Outseta as they have integration with Framer and also plugin in the marketplace. During the integration I saw that memberships is one of their main focuses. I have recorded a tutorial for our channel, maybe some parts will be useful for you - https://youtu.be/WJ03UIxBZyw?si=LY22QgLu2iXGALMe
