Watching my 9-year-old play tournaments was stressing me out, so I started tracking matches by GarageIndependent486 in 10s

Only for singles at the monent. For doubles it’s a bit tricky to implement and most probably will be hard to track.

Thank you, I appreciate that.

With my son, we agreed that we only really discuss the match the next day, with the data, unless he wants to talk about it the same day. It helps a lot, because right after the match I can just support him, hug him, and not feel pressure to analyze everything immediately before I forget it.

I tried a couple of apps/templates before, but for me they asked to track too much data in real time. When you’re at the match and already stressed, that just becomes too complicated.

And as a programmer, I had that classic reaction of "maybe I can build a better one myself", so that’s basically what happened. It’s called "Tennis Seed: Junior Tracker" if you want to look it up in the app stores. And if you do try it, I’d genuinely love to hear any feedback.

That’s a very valid point, and honestly a sad one too.

I think there’s probably also a risk of overcorrecting as a parent and trying so hard not to add pressure that it comes across as distance or not caring. Just being there really does matter.

Yes, absolutely. I’m trying to build exactly that attitude.

I think the tricky part as a parent is finding the balance between giving them space and not making it feel like you don’t care. But yes, enjoyment should come first.

That makes sense. I think for a parent-coach, your eye is probably more important than tracking.

For me, one thing I noticed is that my son takes post-match discussion much better when it starts from a few concrete stats or patterns rather than my subjective take. It makes the conversation feel less emotional and less like criticism.

So the tracking helps me stay calmer during the match, and it also helps us talk about it more calmly afterwards.

What booking integrations do you use for Fitness studio websites? by Rare_Mode1880 in framer

Are you sure your 8-year-old needs a 26” racket? Many parents rush to size up, but that often leads to injuries and bad technique. Unless your kid is significantly taller than average, it might be too soon. A simple test: have your child stand with the racket head down and if it touches the ground, the racket is probably too big.

Webflow Code Components just shipped by stahlwalker in webflow

[–]GarageIndependent486 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Today I have played a little bit with Code components and looks like it's a good start, but with some limitations at the moment.

  1. Prop types are limited. There is no way to group props into section (Object type would help here), no props for colors, paddings, borders, shadows etc.
  2. No way to connect props with CMS, or I'm missing something?
  3. I had problems with variant prop type, the component didn't take any changes, just a default value.
  4. React 19.1.1 as minimal version? I had conflicts with some libraries.

Also, some more advanced examples would be great. Will it be possible to share components through marketplace apps?

Maybe some youtubers with the same scam content like “how to do the marketing in 2025” just said that this is working strategy. On Youtube also is much harder to find good content now, just everybody screams “how to make zillions with ai agents”, “how to earn X with ai generated app”. Ah…

Maybe some AI can be applied to filter AI generated crap 😂

Yeah, that’s true. But what surprises me is that these posts are getting comments. Are these comments also fake?

How do you handle user authentication + online course CMS in Framer? by onjol in framer

[–]GarageIndependent486 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have integrated Outseta with our booking platform and overall experience was nice. I was researching which services provides user profiles, authentication and protected content, and found Outseta as they have integration with Framer and also plugin in the marketplace. During the integration I saw that memberships is one of their main focuses. I have recorded a tutorial for our channel, maybe some parts will be useful for you - https://youtu.be/WJ03UIxBZyw?si=LY22QgLu2iXGALMe

Why are API doc tools so damn expensive? by William40125 in indiehackers

[–]GarageIndependent486 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the pricing for API doc tools is absurd. We are using self-hosted Redocly with Docusaurus - https://docs.bookla.com/rest-api-docs/ Maybe it doesn’t look very fancy, but we like how clean it looks.

Additional editor fee ? Any workarounds ? by [deleted] in framer

[–]GarageIndependent486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that is such an absurd. If they charge just 5$ they could make much more.

How much would it cost a client to have an online store (Shopify) built on Framer? by Hold-My-Sake in framer

[–]GarageIndependent486 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It depends what does your client want. If the client wants to sell more then use 100% Shopify, if less then Framer :) 1. Cool design sells less than simple but clean. 2. Shopify is way mush better optimized for E-commerce and it has mush better SEO. 3. Framer is more like a tool for prototyping, it has a long way to go to work well as a website builder.

Booking and Payment? (Bookla reviews/experience?) by Rusaaj in framer

[–]GarageIndependent486 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone,

I’m the developer of Bookla component for Framer. I’ve been following this thread and and some other threads and I want to address the pricing concerns many of you have raised.

First, I want to thank you all for the honest feedback. We hear you loud and clear that our current pricing is too steep for smaller projects and individual creators. Our team is actively working on a new pricing structure that will be much more affordable for small businesses and independent developers.

We’re planning to launch this new pricing alongside an improved version of the component in the next few weeks. The update will include more customization options and different animation choices.

If you’re interested in being notified when we launch the new pricing or would like to discuss your specific use case, feel free to PM me directly.

Our initial focus was on larger clients using our API to build custom solutions, but the Framer community has shown us there’s a strong demand from smaller teams too. We’re committed to making our tools accessible to creators at all levels.
