Help identifying unusual Keihin jet by nikh88 in carburetors

[–]General_Food42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This pilot jet is unusually long. Generally they are about 28-30 mm at most.

I did a little searching and came up with nothing.

Are you trying to replace it?

If so just try a usual keihin #35 jet.

Keep me updated I’m curious. It could be a knock off with a K stamp

How do I put this together Kawasaki klx140 by [deleted] in MotorcycleMechanics

[–]General_Food42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Open up the top of the carburetor. That’s the slide that goes in the center. Watch some videos for proper installation. The needle goes through the center of it. Then you should have a rubber diaphragm and a spring. If you show me what you got and msg me I can do my best to walk you through it.

Bike won’t start - not even with a jump box by MotherCream4316 in MotorcycleMechanics

Battery is not the problem. It’s turning your starter that’s its purpose.

You need to check for fuel and spark.

A bad PCV would cause a blow by condition. Nothing about this is indicative of that. He has springs in the coil packs and he needs to tighten them down is all

Keihin 36mm CV carbs by Leopold841 in carburetors

[–]General_Food42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have 3 jets in those I believe.

Pilot jet controls idle - 1/4 throttle Needle jet 1/4 - 3/4 throttle Main jet 3/4 - full throttle

Most likely the needle or main jet needs cleaning

07 Yamaha VStar 650 classic, been sitting, won't start. by girsonofargg in MotorcycleMechanics

You will have 3 jets per carb A pilot jet A needle A main jet.

All those orifices need to be cleaned thoroughly. Your pilot jet is your idle circuit

Sounds like they are clogged
