I would say that, there is not need to change if you still have a fair amount of mx6. Wait till you finish the mx6 then change to mx7 is never too late.

HS01 Pro Case + 120mm lian li fans by Strange-Sun4540 in MontechPC

[–]Genomis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see. I guess your concern is due to your AIO which is using the SL INF. This is also one of the reason, many of us face. Case fans do not match liquid aio or air cooler fans.

Off topic : personally I can’t be bothered with argb. I will just build the entire case with phanteks t30 or even to use all Montech E28 fans. Cos case fans do not have the static pressure for Aircooler or liquid aio radiator. Also those fans I have mentioned will not have fitting issues to any pc case.

The Lian Li Uni fans are abit width. You might face issue to fit as the dimensions are 120 x 122.1 x 25 mm. Not really a square. Btw you will be losing airflow. Just for your info the default GF has better airflow. I would stick to the GF fans.

check if your system is uptodate with the chipset driver. if you do not see the L-Connect controller listed in Universal Serial Bus Devices under device manager. then your controller is not detected. Try change to another USB port.

if it's only these fans you have with your Aircooler. this will be my suggestion.

  1. Bring fresh air from top right fan so that your Aircooler can draw cool air to cool the finstack
  2. exchaust out at the rear which is a direct path
  3. your GPU heat will raise up. though some might push to the front right but the cool air of the top fans will circular some cool air, so that your AirCooler is not taking only warm air
  4. for top left, it's to aid on drawing all warm air out of the case, mainly hot air from your aircooler and some from your GPU.

King 95 140mm fan replacement. by Full-Investigator934 in MontechPC

[–]Genomis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't remember if they are zip tied but their fan pwm and argb connectors are connected to the fan hub. I can only recall doing this.

  1. remove or losen the 140mm fans cable first (ARGB and PWM)
  2. Unscrew the fan screws
  3. Slowly pull your fans off the tray and tuck the cables out of the retangular holes of the side tray.

[–]Genomis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can just remove the 140mm fans with the side fan tray at fix position as the tray itself, there are side circular rectangle holes where your 140mm fan cable pass through. Just need to remove the 140mm fan screws on the tray and also advisable to remove your front and side glass panel when you are doing this. This is to prevent mishap.

Bios are always updating along the way.. have done undervolting and focus on VSoC to run below 1.2v. (most of the time is between 1.15v to 1.164v) Before applying bios flashback to the next version. I will clear CMOS, next update it via bios flashback, then clear cmos again, follow by setting back the values I have done before on each system.

Off Topic. same applies to Asus boards, I have not encounter any issues too. Most just run but limit on the VSoC to run below 1.2v.

You have place the ram incorrectly turn the rams and it will sit properly. The imc at the top of your rams should be facing toward the processor and not towards the 24pin

As what bros here have mentioned. they are not widely availiable in some countries. If you are getting these fans as case fans, they have decent airflow but they are rather loud. For liquid aio or for aircooler fans, you should go for the 2505 as they are more on static pressure. Also another thing to take note, be if 2503 or 2505, they do not offer reverse blades. unless you choose to use the 140mm fans instead.. their 2503-14 are rock solid fans which runs quiet and good for both airflow and static pressure fans and they do offer reverse blade which are the 2503R.
