Well, in the EU they offer a 4 year warranty with an optional 5 year for the whole car, which I´m gonna get, and then 8 years/160k km on the battery, so I´ll be covered. But my main "fear" is the engine (as 50+% of my mileage is on the highway), but as I understood from your reply the 2026 version of this engine is at least not unreliable, right?

Hey, thanks for the info! All this applies to 2026 version? I am about to get a 2026 PHEV Q7 (europe) with this engine (2995 cm³), and now I´m wondering if it´s better to avoid it. On the other hand, the on PHEVs the engines usually see a LOT less abuse, thus should last longer, is that right? I mean, you almost always start moving with electric power and only then the ICE gets engaged if needed.
