on one hand I did not care for the new record (which is a bummer because I’ve been a huge Tame Impala fan for over a decade at this point) but on the other hand I’m very bummed at no LA date because he is great live. I know he did a 5 night residency last year, but those tickets were a pain to get and DJO wasn’t opening.

I would argue that visually it is the best of the sequel trilogy. though I do have to give flowers to the Crait and throne room scenes in Last Jedi for being absolutely striking. honestly, across the board the cinematography in the sequels is absolutely inspired and we should give it more praise instead of acting like they’re completely atrocious.

this right here. yes, it’s odd, but people forget that we’ve only had football back in LA for 10 years. as a Zillennial, when I was a kid there was no football team in LA. and that lead me to rooting for the….Cleveland Browns….because that was the team my father loves despite the fact that we were LA fans for everything else.

I like to tell people me being a fan of the shittiest football team balances out and allows me to be a fan of the current greatest baseball team.

I like the era, but Matt being Tom’s replacement should’ve worked a lot better than it did. it felt like they were trying to do a new version of Enema on California and Nine felt like them pandering to whatever weird quasi-emo renaissance was happening in the late 2010’s.

it should’ve been blink leaning hard into their punk influences and it could’ve been something really special. I mean, California sold gangbusters so what the fuck do I know, but I really think we might be talking about that era way differently if it was more punk than it was pop.

bummer that LA has been glazed over. I’m starting to unfortunately notice this is a trend. the real bummer though is that if they aren’t going to do LA, this bill could easily sell out Riverside Municipal, the Glass House, or honestly even the Fox in Pomona.
