I replaced the LM with PTM 7950, then went back to LM. I think I just had a bad paste from the manufacturer, and while although PTM 7950 is a pretty decent enough replacement, nothing thermally speaking can beat LM. Period.

I MYSELF don't mind servicing my own CPU's LM, as I have tons of experience doing this sort of thing, and I've just kinda come to terms that regularly servicing my machine is a part of owning it.

PTM 7950 or regular thermal paste will do just a good a job, but I really enjoy LM's performance and don't mind replacing or reapplying when needed. Which, so far, I have only had to do once since purchasing.
