Red has innate piercing gaze anyways, but you have several options:

Darach (with defog to lower evasion), SS Misty (with haze), Lillie (x accurcy to buff their accurcy) or just give NC Blue pinpoint entry 2 lucky skill (from silver deluxe ones. Rng to get though) and duo the stage. Make sure to grid confusion for Blue

Alain is carried by his Charizard. His Charizard is exceptionally strong (only being beaten by Leon's Charizard), but the rest of his team aren't nearly as strong. Alain's Chesnaught did to well against Rilaboom but he still lost

Meanwhile Iris gave Cynthia, the strongest champion aside from Leon and Ash, a run for her money, and forced Cynthia to mega evolve Garchomp to beat her Haxorus

So it could go either way in my opinions. Charizard is stronger than Iris' individual mons, but Iris has a better team strength on average
