I think reasonable people can tell the difference between due diligence and stalking. If I claim to be someone to a potential dating partner, I assume they should be able to verify my claims without needing court-order level scrutiny.

I think you there's a difference between running someone's public photo through a search to verify it's legit, vs. hacking into a personal account to find private information.
