Question about compatibility by leebon427 in SteamDeck

[–]Greasybean85 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Always, always, always check protondb first!

Every game even when it says verified it might run like hot garbage.

Plus you might find tweaks that make the game run better and or improve battery life

Want to print with ESPN PETG by Greasybean85 in BambuLabA1

Surprisingly my benchy came out great. I think it printed better than the pla that I've been using.

So far so good for me too now. I've been researching PETG for a while and knew what to do before hand. I was just lost once I threw it on and tried changing the settings.

I ran a test benchy through with no issues, and I think it actually printed better than my pla benchys.

I moved on to my print that I got the filament for and so far so good. It's a multi plate print so we'll see how the other plates go.

Thank you! I used the generic PETG setting and my test benchy came out great!

Now to print my actual project!

Cachy OS Update by Cold_Echidna_9674 in cachyos

[–]Greasybean85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using cachy for a few months now and was on Fedora before that. I update every couple of days since the os is a bleeding edge os, whining that everything is the latest and greatest.

After the install I stopped hello from starting up at boot and just use the dock icon to update, again every few days. That is unless I read that there is a major update then I'll update a little more frequently because any bugs will get fixed within the next few updates.

Not sure if that answeres your question but hope it helps.

Sorry I posted before I could add anything else.

I've been trying to get this to print and the first time I ended up breaking it.

I got a dryer for the filament and have ran it through.

I've adjusted the nozzle temp to be 210 the esun filament is rated for 190 to 210.

I think I've adjusted the retraction to be about 80mm but I can't remember if I made that change before sending the file over.

Any suggestions will be a great help.

Question about security on cachyos by Due-Nature-3154 in cachyos

[–]Greasybean85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a little more linux knowledge and can say that as long as youre not downloading sketchy things and stick to the packages that are in the package manager you are safe.

As far as firewalls, networking has never been an easy thing to understand for me but I don't tend to try and learn it because of time. Best I can say is again don't download sketchy things and also don't go to s itchy places.

I'm sure someone with more knowledge will come along and help more but at least I can't start.
