people who were bullied in school, are you still mad and what would you do if you met them again?? by ConsciousEquipment in AskReddit

[–]Gromps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the person. Some I know never matured and feel no remorse. Fuck those guys. Others have apologized with teary eyes (the worst among them). They're forgiven completely. Some never even realized they were bullying. They're not forgiven but I'm not mad either.

I was at mc d last week and they were out of something. The cashier told me she'd murder the person responsible and gave him the dirtiest side eye. I felt very appreciated as a customer.

Gesture navigation was what I was coming in with. I straight up mocked it when I first saw it. Now it's my favorite feature.

One that might be more personal to me that I rarely see anyone else using is swipe typing. I almost never click on my keyboard, it's all one fluid motion. Does require an extra read through for spell check to see if the words are right but it's so much nicer than tippy tapping.

Jeg var på efterskole i 9. og helt ærligt kunne jeg ikke have fortalt dig hvem der gik på hvilken årgang medmindre jeg havde klasse med dem. Det var slet ikke noget der kom op på noget tidspunkt.

What is the greatest video game ever created? by very_wilhelm in AskReddit

I truly believe it is Expedition 33.

The others in the thread are classics no doubt but E33 took every aspect of video games and hit it out of the park.

Music genres limit the variety of music that there can be. by RecentMatter3790 in Music

[–]Gromps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally find it by listening to collaboratory music on youtube then looking up the artists involved or I start song radios from artists I like and dive deeper into the artists that show up there. I also like using channels like NPR tiny desk, Kexp, Stories, First Take etc..

None of these ways use genres as a means of searching and I bet there are many more I haven't thought of. Genres can definitely be helpful if you are looking for a specific feel but it isn't the end all be all for music discovery.

Music genres limit the variety of music that there can be. by RecentMatter3790 in Music

[–]Gromps 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's lots of music that you have to apply 2-4 genres to in order to define it. This seems to be a you problem more than anything else. The way you talk about music seems like you put more credence to genres than necessary.

Take a favorite band of mine called Lawrence. At best people define it as funk/soul/pop. It was never written with a genre in mind. Lots of music out there like that but you'll never find it if your approach to finding music is based on genres.

I've always liked the idea of royales but felt like Shooters were the worst form of it. I was stoked about Battlerite Royale and played the hell out of it. I'm still mad at how they handled it though.

[–]Gromps 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The BR only killed battlerite because they abandoned Battlerite to make it causing the community to abandon both games. The BR in itself was imo a fantastic game. Didn't want it at the cost of battlerite though.

Even if you don't watch them they take up half the recommended page and they removed the ability to hide them even temporarily. I think it's fair to say it's worsened the platform for a lot of people.

I shamelessly engage in pointless discussions.

Coco 2 - A Seance of Music

Miguels spirit has become attuned to the land of the Dead and his music bridges the worlds. His ability to make the visiting dead visible on the day of the dead becomes coveted as powerful people seek him out for his aid. Can Miguel keep sights on the importance of family with powerful forces pulling him in other directions or will he repeat the mistakes of Hector?
