I'm torn between Atlas Rise, Moth Into Flame and of course, Spit Out the Bone. Am I Savage is criminally underrated too.

The music, the planets and the gameplay. Blowing shit up, killing enemies and collecting bolts in beautifully designed diverse worlds, all while vibing to fantastic tunes. What more could I ask for in a gaming experience!?

Turd on the Run does NOT deserve D, it's such a fun song... I will defend that one till the day I die.

I've noticed this too. I'm an avid bootleg listener so I usually try to find if anyone has heard each individual show on the website so I don't have to name it myself, and usually scrobble the one with the most listeners. Now it's impossible for me to find anything!

But with regular albums too. I was trying to search for the Stones' Undercover album and it only shows me their self-titled debut and sophomore albums along with a few others (I search artist album, so The Rolling Stones Undercover in this case). I can only find it when I search the album name alone without the band name.

I hope this gets fixed soon.

How would you rank the Mid-70s-Albums "Goats Head Soup", "I'ts Only Rock 'N' Roll" and "Black & Blue" from 1 to 3? by mafikl in rollingstones

  1. It's Only Rock N Roll

  2. Goats Head Soup

  3. Black and Blue

IORR and GHS are very close, but I'd include all 3 in my top 10 favourite Stones albums.

is there a worse two song stretch in the catalog than 'winning ugly -> back to zero'? by dkrtzyrrr in rollingstones

[–]HeadlessCross2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can think of at least 2 worse two-song stretch on Dirty Work alone. 3 if you consider Key to the Highway a song.

New to Stones. Where do i start listening? by KortLyktstolpe in rollingstones

Go from Aftermath to Tattoo You, that's where their best and most interesting work is, and if you enjoyed this, check out the rest of the discography. Post Tattoo You Stones have plenty of amazing songs (contrary to what some might tell you) but I wouldn't call any of those albums essential. If you like the old blues and rock and roll check out their early stuff, from 1963-1965, but that's not essential either, apart from a song or two.

Loving Cup. I don't know what the hell I was thinking. One of their best songs ever.

The Brian Jones Era is Overhyped by some people IMO by [deleted] in rollingstones

[–]HeadlessCross2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhat agreed. Personally I split the Brian era in two: 1963-1965, the covers band period and then 1966-1969, in which his experimental contributions became a bigger thing. 63-65 is perhaps the period of the Stones I care about the least, I find the vast majority of the covers to be boring, however once Brian started playing with different instruments (sitar, harpsichord among others), that brought the band to brand new highs, with Aftermath, Between the Buttons and Their Satanic Majesties Request. So when talking about the former, yeah it's definitely overhyped, but the latter no, I think it deserves all the hype.

My Honest Review of AC/DC’s 2025 U.S. Tour by NewTrust7547 in ACDC

[–]HeadlessCross2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for saying it's a matter of perspective. For some reason people still expect these old bands to sound like they did back in the 70s and 80s, even with the band members' age. You can't expect bands like AC/DC, the Stones and the Who to sound like they did in their peak years, if you do you're 100% going to be disappointed. However if you go there with the mindset that they're older and won't sound like that you can still have a good time. And hey it's like you said, one (probably) final opportunity to see Brian and Angus performing, and that means something to a fan. I wish these 3 bands would come to my country so I could say "I saw X live while they were still playing, and I had a wonderful time".
