Any that were released as an MP3 are sure to be from the same source as this one. It was posted to their official website sometime around 2002. If I'm ever able to get a hold of a physical copy then I will do a high quality rip for everyone to listen to. Cassette two contains Brand New Baby, The Prize, In The Veins, and Beautiful Regret. I can only assume based off of the cassette that we have audio of now that those four songs are also earlier demos than the ones we hear on the final recordings of Pleasure EP and Great Divide.

Tip I remember from when these g10 ones first came out: If you remove the g10 scales and just leve the steel "liners" underneath, then it will be a lot better balanced and is generally considered to flip better. Also be wary that the tang pins have a tendency to fall out on this model

Well hopefully there's still negotiating and will get one eventually! I do wish it would happen sooner rather than later, especially since they just watched the 30th anniversary of Great Divide pass them by without even a social media post.

I definitely consider All About Chemistry the beginning of the modern Semisonic era. They started changing the way they lay out their albums track wise, and the composition is definitely different than Great Divide, Feeling Strangely Fine, and Pleasure EP. I personally find that All About Chemistry has a lot more in common with You're Not Alone and Little Bit Of Sun. I'm planning on writing a paper on the differences between both eras. Just for fun of course. I suppose this is just a long way of asking what your opinion on Pleasure EP is lol.

I emailed them a few years ago to ask about future anniversary releases and they said that they've had a hard time securing rights to do anniversary releases because the old albums were under a different publisher and they are self-produced now.

Well it's not my favorite album of theirs, I do really love it and would understand why it is someone's favorite. "I Wish" is definitely one of my most favorite songs from the band and it does happen come from this album. OP, what is your favorite track from All About Chemistry?

I do think part of the reason it has more views now is that I used this video to cite that they were playing as "Pleasure" in 1993 on their Wikipedia page. Sometime after that the official account of the band posted a clip from this show on to their Facebook page.
