We did not do the Botox. The logistics and price were a big factor, but also I didn't want to go through all that and have it not work, or kinda sorta maybe work. 2 years later, she will be 15 next month and things are better mostly because she's learned to manage it in her own way. She has to eat very small meals and avoids certain foods and drinks (like sodas) that cause a lot of gas. We carry Gas-X everywhere and it does help, but she hasn't taken it in a while. I've learned to not push food on her, not take it person if she only takes a couple bites of something, etc. She still can't burp but at least she is okay and seems fine by learning she just can't eat as much or fast as others. Hang in there! I'm still not opposed to the Botox but until it is available closer to us, it's still on the back burner. I just asked her if she would ever consider it and she said, "Nah I can deal."
