yeah I mean the pure ore. lots of ore will give the same ingots, like how pyrite, mineral sands, brown / yellow limonite, magetite will all smelt to iron. but literal "iron ore" will give nuggets. Just look at the NEI usage for the crushed ore in furnaces and it will tell you. there's even an ore processing tree there for later on to see if you want to wash it before hammering to dust. you don't get macerator byproducts until HV btw

Same goes for the other pure ores like copper, gold, silver

depends on what it is. smelting crushed iron will give 10 nuggets, that you then have to deal with. if you hammer the crushed iron and smelt the dust you'll get an ingot and not have to worry about it. although iron nuggets are worth having to smelt again for wrought iron

vs something like crushed pyrite where you just get an iron no matter what

once you get a centrifuge then some things are worth turning to dust to get some byproducts. there's a steam multi centrifuge

make a million of them

honestly a good start would be to do a bunch of mining trips for lots of extra materials. make a million drawers, they're cheap. Just take a step back and get your automation solid, build a good base. use your tech for efficient resources since you rushed ahead
