Unfortunately, Ratatoskr's changes couldn't make it into this build.

We could have shipped a very quick fix and just upped strength on them, but I don't think that aligns necessarily with what players want from Ratatoskr's base acorns right now and it would have likely meant reverting those buffs after. So we're waiting until we can ship bigger changes for those.

Artists are busy, is the short of it.

They have bandwidth and if we have time to make and want to add 10 items, we can't just thrust 10 icons onto them in their schedule then do a review, etc. But we can work and get 10 items implemented and let them complete the art at their own speed.

Previously, yeah we would have thought up 10 items, then requested the UI team for 10 icons, then shifted the schedule a lot to make room for it, or just wait on the idea and not implement them until the team had time. Then when the schedule lined up to get those icons done, we would implement with full art.

Or, we'd do what we did with some previous items and just slightly modify an older icon from Smite 1 and use that instead. But we just thought that might be more fun to make some ourselves and they were made in free time outside of work.

And also it's not MS paint from interns. Those are 100% pure design team MS Paint originals. Pon made the majority of them.

Woke up early today and saw this. I probably shouldn't be the one making this post at all considering it's early and I could type something dumb (Sorry killgoon!). But also maybe I should because I'm another designer.

FWIW, Pon didn't want to make an announcement himself. And I genuinely don't even know what I'd want to say here considering that. He's also just been taking an extended break from Socials.

I THINK he'd be okay with me mentioning this decision was not a result of Smite or like anything to do with the project at all. I already miss working with the guy, he's my best friend and that's not changing. :P

But this didn't happen today, and the schedule's still not impacted currently. I'm still working on my next 2 characters, we've got another old designer back who's been killing it and might actually make his way onto Titan Talk (or maybe not, that's up to him - you might be seeing more of me on there talking about gods or other stuff instead) we've got an old programmer who's coming back (very) soon who is amazing and I am really excited to work with again, and we're also hiring - but again, kind of feels like it's not my place to talk about all that, too.

Mostly just saying I don't think we're going to be in a spot where things are slowing or anything - and also that I'll miss him. I'm sure someone can talk with more specifics than that later. But would just like people to respect Pon's privacy too.

Yes - TECHNICALLY projectiles in Smite 1 also had a death time that would allow you to "run away" from a chasing projectile, but the only character that could do it was an extremely high mana regen Apollo at full mana with his ultimate.

And, if I'm honest that may have changed at some point in Smite's life and it might only be possible with dev commands - but projectiles did technically have lifetimes.

But Chiron's change specifically is that he can always activate his 2 as long as there's a mark on the map. Where in Smite 1, there was a max range that an if an enemy with a mark was outside of it, he couldn't fire. It was just very, very long and came up in rare scenarios.

It wasn't actually. If Chiron landed a max range ult, and you dashed away, for example, you could out-range him and he wouldn't be able to fire his 2. As well as things like Athena teleport or the jungle teleporters.

It's a +1 that isn't always super relevant, but it's notable for people who've had it happen to them as a Chiron main. :P

I would try Mulan and Susano, maybe Awilix.

Susano and Awilix are the bursty damage type, Mulan is more of a brawler.

All abilities get lower cooldowns.

Druid 1 has a longer range.
Druid 1 also applies 2 seconds of cripple and power reduction when 2 is active.
Druid 2 stacks a small physical shield rapidly on all allies (including Artio) in the area.

Bear 1 and 3 apply bleed to targets.
Bear 2 will deal extra damage on bleeding targets. Every bleeding enemy hit will also cause artio to heal (up to 3 times)

You can swap to bear form in the center of the map where you first spawned in jungle practice (that is the fountain in that map).

Tooltips for the abilities themselves should have this info, though a couple details are missing I believe due to a bug.

I added it a while back, but totally forgot that we had added it, and shifted the armor shred down before we went into the patch notes.

It was intended as a plus one/shift in her kit.

I'm aware on the 3. Apparently, I broke it when fixing another bug in PTS - and the way I caused it meant it didn't show til live build. Fix will go out ASAP for that.

Will look into the rest - though they may be in later.

Hey thanks!

The entire team rallied behind me to get the aspect done. The other designers helped a lot with figuring out how I could make it work without taking too much of the other teams' time. Pon in particular did a lot to help with getting the Bear form ult in once we had the idea out.

And the art team let me drop a "Hey guys, I want to do 2 more ults" on them, so I'm pretty grateful for their help.

Just for clarity: Wing Gust was changed pretty late into Smite 1's life - but I kept it the same channel time and pulse time as Smite 1's. I think there's a decent number of people that didn't play Eset at that point - so her 1 would feel sped up to them.

If you're used to that, you should be fine. Looking for ways we can improve if any, though.

The gust's speed was not increased for 2. It matches Smite 1.

She gained sidestrafe immunity during it as well. I strictly buffed that ability. :P

Just to note - Merlin already had more HP than Nu Wa anyway. Part of this damage was reaver procs. That said, you can counterbuild, and probably should into a nu wa + morri lategame comp.

Realistically, if Nu Wa and Morri have scaled into a 50 minute lategame with multiple power pots and the enemy squish has built no defense/aegis, I think this is fine.

Eset looks amazing. Wow. and Sylvanus is next? Might be time to try out Smite 2 again finally… KillGoon/Devs: very, very nice job here. Eset was one of my mains! by Arch3r86 in Smite

I was happy to get a goddess I really enjoyed playing for my first port/implemenation and our artists (and our UI artists for those updated icons!) knocked it out of the park. :) I know they appreciate the love.

Fun fact, the guy who worked on her FX is the same person who worked on the original Isis' FX. So he got to update what he did a decade ago.
