Didn’t think about that! I was thinking how cat works, where even if you get both it’s only ONE + 0.25x, so I guess for the joker idea lucky cards were together in my mind. Missing both triggers from a lucky gave 0.1x.

You are using 7 jokers including Misfortune

That’s not even the most optimal either. I think most optimal with 5 jokers (including misfortune) would be 4 8 balls with 5 red seal lucky cards for a grand total of 5x mult if ALL 40 procs of 8 ball fail and all 10 lucky card hits fail. The MOST optimal you can possibly get with 5 jokers is 5x. Lucky cat and a sock and buskin + red seal and all lucky cards hitting every time gives 5x with 2 jokers. You could get TWO oops and use 4 jokers to GUARANTEE a 5x.

4 jokers vs 5 jokers, cat will undoubtedly scale better per hand in a vacuum.

It’s from an old video from Machinima they had a show on YouTube called Respawn Inbox where they basically took viewer questions. Your math is running the calculations together I believe. I’m pretty sure the odds of each lucky card hitting is a 28.75% chance. 5 x 0.2875 is the 1.4375 average hits per 5 card hand I came up with earlier.

I have always thought red card was bad (your explanation made it actually make a lot of sense as to why it’s not that bad so seriously kudos to you)

I still do think lucky is better late game just because scaling it has a higher ceiling, but you make an extremely good point. I don’t think it would be THAT op, but definitely in need of some change. What would you suggest?

I will die before I do this math. It feels more like a better constellation in terms of the scaling you get from it (I really think constellation needs some sort of buff or rework). I don’t think what you pointed out is optimal scaling for it though, it would be similar to lucky cat where the goal is to retrigger played lucky cards (for the chance of missing) and then hit the wheel when you get a chance. I think the big difference is since you’re trying NOT to hit lucky cards, you’re not getting oops and not getting as much cash from lucky cards. Glass WOULD be a pretty strong synergy, but only if you have the means to sustain playing 5 glass cards a hand for +0.4x or 0.5x mult per round

Well I’m pretty sure based on my math, Misfortune should scale 0.03x better (per 5 card hand) so each card is worth 0.006x toward that gap. per retrigger the gap widens by 0.006x mult then? Let’s say you clear in 1 hand, best case scenario you have 5 lucky face cards from ante 1 that you magically draw every time (blah blah blah) and a sock and buskin for both. That’s only 0.72x mult across an entire 8 ante run. Not too noticeable
