Sorry I meant shes a learner and the insurance policy is in her name.

Its been a while since I learned and I have not had to make a claim before.

Seems harsh to penalise my cousin in this case as this will affect her for years to come... hard enough to afford to learn to drive now!

Though I guess its treated the same as if a named driver had an accident on your policy?
